We watched a movie at the Cinemark close to this IHOP last Sunday. I placed my order online a little after 6 pm. I figured, the food will be ready by the time the movie was over. I was emailed and texted of the confirmation and instructions how to pick up my order. We drove up to the curbside pick-up, I called the restaurant to let them know my parking spot at around 6:53 pm. The promised time for my order to be ready was 6:47 pm. I was told that I had to come inside, but the food is not ready for another 15 mins. We decided to park at the front entrance and wait there. After about 15 mins. I went inside the restaurant. I waited for someone to assist me with my order. A young African American man told me that they are still preparing my order. I sat down to wait a few minutes. I approached the reception desk a second time and asked about my order. I was told by a young Hispanic lady that my order was picked up by another customer and she was supposed to come back to get her correct order. I told the young lady that I won’t accept the swapped bags because I do not know if my food had been touched. She told me that they can re-make them but it will take some time because they are busy. I told her that I just want to cancel it because my kids are waiting in car hungry, and we can just grab fast food. She suggested I cancel it online, but I told her I do not have an account. I ordered as a guest. I asked if a manager can help me. In the meantime, the lady who picked up my order came back and got her correct bag of online order. The manager Julio came out, and I explained what was going on. He accused me that I already picked up my order, and he was the one who gave it to me. I told him this is the first time I have seen his face, and talk to his employee who swapped the food bags with the lady who picked up my order. I am not the same person. I showed him the email confirmation, but he kept reasoning that my order was exactly the same as another person and we also had the same name. That was an untrue statement because I was there when the lady swapped the 2 bags of my order for her 1 bag of her order. And my name is a unique spelling. What was upsetting was he never checked the order numbers, nor verified with his staff the real situation, and he won’t refund my money while my kids were waiting hungry in the car. I had to call my husband inside the restaurant to speak with him. He took a photo of my confirmation email, then went back inside. My husband came out with a photo of my confirmation email and with a note that corporate will refund me my money within 24 hours. This is an example of poor customer service. They probably just gave the order without verifying. No apologies for not delivering my order as promised. I was racially profiled because the lady who mistook my order was also Asian, he assumed I was the same person without verifying my order number and real name against the other order. It was also very inconsiderate that he kept me there for a long time knowing my kids are waiting hungry in the car, and I had to call my husband in to intervene. I sent a survey to corporate, and it’s been 2 days, no one has reached out to me. It just shows that from the top down, IHOP is insensitive about how customer’s experience with...
Read moreI visited this IHOP location on Saturday, August 31 at 2:33 am with the intention of enjoying a hot tasty breakfast. There were approximately three tables with customers consisting of couples. Total of 6 customers. The first red flag upon entering and waiting to be seated was the unsanitary eating area with messy tables and with 7 buckets of dishes and cups of the previous customers who visited earlier that night on Friday. Upon being seated, the waitress seemed preoccupied in deep thought as her facial expression dictated her evening was nothing but a nightmare. I was empathetic and asked, you seem stressed, am I correct? She replied, "no... everything is fine." Great, please for 2 cups of fresh coffee. It did take about 15 minutes to receive the lukewarm coffee. She apologized for that and promised to get a fresh batch, which she did. I ordered a stack of pancakes with tres leches and two eggs sunny side up, bacon and wheat toast. My friend ordered a similar dish as well. It was tasty and wholesome. I thanked the manager and waitress as I paid and exited the establishment.
My drive home was approximately 7 minutes on HWY 360 South. My stomach began to churn and ache. Finally as I ran to my home's front door with my intention of using the restroom was short lived. I was unable to prevent the horrific outcome of ....... I managed to safely remove and throw out my sneakers, pants and well.. I dumped my clothes in the garbage.
This will be my first and last visit to IHOP located in Grand Prairie, TX off of HWY 360 N and Carrier Rd.
My reason for delaying my review post was because I was embarrassed to do...
Read moreI will not be going back to this place.. I asked for my meat to be cooked well then it was not and my husband's meat was worse than mine which I should've took a picture of his. I told the waiter to please just give me another meat which he looked at it and asked what kind of cheese it was and I said you can just bring the patty I will keep everything else so that way they don't have to make the whole hamburger again. It took about 15 minutes to get that hamburger patty and my family was done eating so everyone had a wait on me. Then when I got the hamburger patty there was no cheese on it so he took it back and then brought it to me with a cold slice of cheese not even melted. I was like are you serious but I still ate it. My husband and son ordered onion rings they both received french fries and they were almost done but they were trying to eat slow to wait for the onion rings. My son asked for a refill of water and the waiter brought him back soda. My two toddlers didn't receive the correct pancakes either Or correct sides But I didn't complain I had them eat it. There were ants on the wall, on our table and one was crawling on my son's plate. Oh yeah then I seen one of the waiters talking to the manager and some other employees and signaling about...
