Fish Creek - Dallas County Nature Preserve — Attraction in Grand Prairie

Small County Preserve located along I-20 immediately east of Carrier. Very small developed area with a short trail, but no access to the creek or the undeveloped area south of the creek. Hemmed in by development and now difficult to access due to massive construction on Carrier. Basically a small neighborhood park for short pleasant walks and pee-wee football. Used to be a nice park like 9yrs ago for the neighborhood kids. Now, all the bad element from the Oakckiff area and south dallas has taken over . The playground has been vandalized, and some jerks deficated in the tree house area where kids play. Also, at night there's Drug & Gay activity. Grand Prairie Police needs to patrol this park && the City of Grand Prairie needs to put public restrooms or at least do clean up & maintenance...

The family was greatly disappointed about Fish Creek Preserve. There was no access to the preserve part or the creek. The only accessible part of this preserve is the playground, pavillion and winding sidewalk that follows the creek you can barely see. The only reason I gave this place a review higher than one star was because the kids loved the playground. I do feel as though the name should be changed to, "Fish Creek Park." ...
