DO NOT COME HERE UNLESS YOU WANT TO GET FOOD POISONING AND SCAMMED! Just stopped by this afternoon with my daughter to eat their chicken, so we ordered two combos that came with their COMPLIMENTARY sides of salsa. We ended up eating most of our food since it's, you know, what we ordered and were CHARGED for at the register. Time passed by, so we decided to head out. We asked to take the rest of our food to go, including the COMPLIMENTARY sides of salsa. I decided to pour all of the remaining COMPLIMENTARY salsa into a separate container that came with the meal that we PAID for. Our waitress suddenly came out of nowhere after seeing me pack my food and told me that she will be charging me separately for taking the unfinished sides of salsa home. First of all, if the COMPLIMENTARY salsa wasn't free to take home, WHY was it not charged to us in the first place? If this restaurant is too stingy to let the customers take COMPLIMENTARY sides of salsa home, then maybe they should reconsider giving it away for free only to change their minds when they see the customers take their sides of salsa home. The story doesn't end here folks, after I left the restaurant, I got a stomach ache and started throwing up chunks of chicken from the meal we ordered here. First you scam your customers, and THEN give them food poisoning? GET IT TOGETHER! No customer should have to deal with a having a RUDE waitress that seeks out customers to over charge when she FAILED to notify them beforehand that they cannot take the salsa home. May I also suggest that the cooks here actually WASH their hands before touching the chicken? It is NOT that hard to maintain a clean kitchen and restaurant....

Finally ventured out to Grand Prairie to see what all the hype was about with this restaurant. This was an hour drive for me to dine in this establishment, so I crossed my fingers that it would be worth it. Upon my arrival the parking lot was full however I found a spot. First thing I noticed was the drive-thru was closed off, which meant all orders has to be placed inside may it be dine-in or carry out. The restaurant is small in size I would estimate possibly 15 to 18 tables. With the salsa bar staff provides you with your Beverages and refills if you need them after you order. We tried a little bit of everything on the menu (2) of the three-piece chicken. One with two sides (Beans & rice) one meat only, carne asada fries, and the steak stuffed burrito. ( containing beans, rice, guacamole, queso and any choice of meat) our grand total $34!!! Compared to Pollo Regio here are my findings... The chicken is good has a nice flavor on the skin however it has not been marinated so it penetrates through to the Bone. Carne asada fries are a Texas version versus a California version. Shortening fries cheddar cheese meat and guacamole. The stuffed burrito was amazing my only problem is it was more rice than anything else. I will say that the weight was about 10 to 15 minutes after we ordered our food, but as many people there were placing orders it was understandable. I will say the salsa bar didn't really have a good variety of salsa. Lastly the cashier who was taking the orders was outstanding!?? He explained the menu PERFECTLY by pointinh out everything so you can see it. He was helpful, speedy and friendly within his...

Pollo Salsa is 🔥! They have some of my most favorite foods on their menu and I could literally eat here for every meal!

I love their hearty brealfast burritos - skillet potatoes, eggs, refried beans, cheese, meat of your choice (my fav is their carne asada & I promise you won't be disappointed 🤤), all wrapped up in a tortilla. I mean seriously, how can you go wrong with a portable breakfast like that?! They give you 2 sauces on the side, but this gringa can't handle the heat. I can say that my partner likes them though!

Another favorite - asada fries - like 3 pounds of deliciousness built on a base of thin crispy fries, topped with cheese sauce, melting cheese, chopped up asada, optional cilantro & guqc on the side. This is most certainly a sharable meal in and of itself!

Next up is their BIG burrito. 2 freakin POUNDS wrapped in a tortilla! 🤯 Rice, refried beans, cheese, guac, sour cream and meat of your choice. I'm a carne asada girly, so that is my go-to, but I've also had their carnitas and barbacoa and they were also fire! My teenage son can eat this thing in one sitting, but for me, it's legit 4 meals.

Now, if you do drive thru like me, you may end up waiting in the line for up to 20 minutes. Don't let that be a deal breaker for you. It is 100% worth it because your food is literally made once your order. No food sitting under a heat lamp here! The servers are fantastic - super kind and very efficient.

I don't have any pics to share because none of the food survived, it was devoured upon entering the car! 🤣

My family has tons of favorites I haven't listed here, but they can do their...

So I had seen this place on an advertisement post on Facebook. Decided to make the drive from Mansfield to Grand Prairie. And man I have been looking for somewhere to get carne asada fries from and OMFG these were TO DIE FOR! Met every expectation my taste buds had! Went during happy hour and margaritas were great also! Cheap and stronggg! Only reason for the 4 stars is 1)I specifically asked for shredded cheese on my carne asada fries instead of the nacho cheese and it was on my receipt and everything and they put no cheese on it. It was fries with meat on top. Then when I go ask them to fix it they acted very annoyed with me even though I specifically ordered it a certain way and it was on the ticket! I don’t appreciate being treated that way. And 2) sour cream doesn’t come on it which I think it should. Makes it sooo much yummier. When I went to ask for some it was 2 freakin dollars for a tiny cup of sour cream. really? But besides that those carne asada fries made all the hassle worth it! Once they were actually made how I ordered them. Lol sooo good!!

I have a question for you Pollo Salsa. What's the food cost on, let's call it 15 chips that would have filled up the container in the picture. Maybe .50 cents.....maybe? We'll today it cost you a repeated weekly $16.60 customer. I eat grilled chicken a lot and just moved here. I work out every day at the planet fitness next door and decided to try you out. When I went to get a few more chips to finish my meal, the girl refilling the salsa rudely told me the chips were free until 3 pm only. I probably would have bought some had she even bothered to ask or be customer friendly. So you been her a while? Hopefully, you don't treat everyone like this. I'll just go find the closest Pollo Regio. The food is better, chips are free and it's cheaper!!
