I've been coming to this starbucks since it was at the old location by QT at the least 5 times a week. Yesterday on my birthday i placed a mobile order for my usual venti cofee frapp and added classic bagel bites... I totally forgot that on your birthday you get a free drink, this is my daily routine so it didn't cross my mind nor did the notification come up when I was checking out.. I went through the drive threw to pick up my order, when i got home i realized that they gave me the everybody's favorite bagel, so i drive all the way back to get this corrected. When I told the same guy at the drive though he just said he would give me a refund because they were out... OK if your out why not tell me the first time so I can choose something else. He said sorry and i got a refund which he scanned back onto my starbucks card on my phone, after i was driving off I got my birthday drink notification (ugh ok, i dont want 2 drinks on my birthday) it said it would expire today(The 18th) if i didn't use it. I went this morning to get the same exact order but did not place it through mobile app this time, When i got to pay the SAME GUY was at the window and i told him what had happened and he said "No i cant do that because you can only do it in those 24 hours of your birthday" ok dude, i know you remember me I came on my actual birthday yesterday and bought a $10 purchase. It would be different if I didn't come on my actual birthday but I did. He said sorry I cant. Made me super upset, its my fault for forgetting BUT i do feel he should have made an exception, he could have asked the manager or tried to make an effort knowing i had been there on my actual birthday. I usually love this location, and know some of the employee's here, whom know im always here. What is a $5 drink to you when i spend about $200 on starbucks a month. AND my bagel bites had some chocolate on them for some reason, both of them!!! probably from warming them up in the conventional oven and not putting something under it before warming them up, I also asked for extra warmed when i placed the order on the drive through, and no the cream cheese was cold! i didn't even want to drive back, I was already...
Read moreI went in today with the hopes of trying the new Nitro shot that's been advertised for a free shot for today. Only to find out that not only do none of the Starbucks within a 5-mile radius or more have the Nitro equipment to do the Nitro shot as advertised, but the clueless cashier did sit there and make a shot of cold brew coffee an trying to past it off as the Nitro brew, -10 points for Hufflepuff lol, then I decided that I was going to get a Grande Iced Cappuccino as it's over 100° outside today, but yet again the wonderfully clueless staff messed up my order over charging me for my drink, but not before it was processed on my card, then tried to say that they "voided it" and thinking that would refund the money to my card...lol So I brought it to there attention that a void and a REFUND are two TOTALLY DIFFERENT THINGS, at which time they "claimed" to have done the REFUND, then the "Coffee Master" processed to mess up my order once again before finally remaking it in the size I order, but still pulled the shot too late, making it as any good "coffee master" should know go bitter...resulting in a less than perfect drink. Which he then tried to cover up with too much milk.
Now all that having been said it was just a Grande Iced Cappuccino...An I have been a barista at quite few different cafes and they are all about the same Cappuccino 1/3 espresso, 1/3 cream, and 1/3 froth or foam cream. It's not rocket science...in yet...I somehow ended up paying almost $10 for a cup of iced milk with a shot of espresso an a smidge of froth on top. Which in turn made it a all around bad cup of joe... and a very poor customer...
Read moreDue to a change in employment this store, carrier pkwy and Westchase in grand prairie, has become the most convenient one to stop at each morning. Previously I was able to use the store at 110 E Hwy 67, Duncanville, TX 75137, which is super efficient and rarely had an issue with. I order a simple Venti Pike every morning. I try and order it when I'm approximately 10 - 12 minutes from the store in order to let it cool a bit as the new on demand machines make it super hot. On more then one occasion I arrive at the store and my coffee is not ready. However, what it more irritating is that when I arrive at the store and my coffee is not in the mobile pick up space, but I see this lonely cup of coffee sitting at the machine it was made on. As I wait I watch people walk/run back and forth past it numerous times. I try to be patient as they focus on the craft beverages, but eventually I have to stop someone and say, "I believe that venti coffee sitting on the machine belongs to me". Sure enough it does. I understand the type of ciaos that occurs between drive through, mobile orders, walk-ins, etc. but there appears to be plenty of staff. I'm not sure if each staff member has a specific task they focus on each day, but the staff at this location does not appear to be working in sync, especially given the number of staff behind the counter. Maybe there are a number of new employees and that's why it's looks more chaotic than normal, but my hope is to see it improve. If not, I may have to leave my home a bit sooner so I can go to the store on Main and 67 to get my coffee on time with a smile. You...
