Online menu, name of establishment, and signage are out of date or inconsistent with current rebranding at the old "Besalt" location. [Location listed as "Asada" at the time of this writing.] Admittedly I cannot review the food as they were not serving "Brunch all day every day" as the outdated Besalt menu advertised. When i tried to discuss this with the staff i was shown what i think was an Instagram post which is apparently the authority and most up to date for info on the location. It seems every time i come by this spot theres a new name and sign on the building, this being the most confusing (and honestly misleading) representation yet. I don't think "Besalt" exists at all anymore, but that's what the sign above the building still says and this account seems also to reflect that "branding". The whole thing was pretty off putting, no apology or understanding from the staff, simply the implication i should have checked IG before relying on their google listing apparently. I would have tried the new food but they were not at all accommodating so i just went across the street. Hopefully they straighten things out, they really couldn't have a better location easttown should have something consistent here.

I left a review for basalt on uber eats about there being egg shells in my food for a third time in a row and this is their response to me (screen shot attached) So since I ordered a special they offered buy one get one free, I’m assuming, to draw in business- I guess I deserve egg shells in my food or I’m not allowed to point out THREE times in a row basalt had egg shells in their breakfast taco because I got the buy one get one free they offered to everyone on uber eats! Or maybe next time I should order something less basic because more expensive choices come without egg shells? Shame on whomever that responded to a now EX loyal customer- u have poor customer service skills and unfortunately a place that was my favorite- I’ll never order from again and will be glad to share my review and basalt unprofessional response w everyone at my place of employment or anyone whom asks about basalt- they have terrible customer service and excuse egg shells being in ur meal because u bought something basic or if u take advantage of a special THEY OFFER to everyone 🤦🏻‍♀️

Exterior: The store is located in a relatively safe part of town with average parking. Their own lot is relatively small but there is street parking available. The storefront is kept up nicely and is easily visible driving by. Entrance/lobby: Well designed with Lo-Fi music playing, the chairs are a little weak but the booths are very comfortable. They have a cute island in the restaurant where you can refill water and grab extra sauces. Service: Exceptional service, they are one of the few restaurants where they actually remember my name and will use it in conversation with future visits. They are a little on the pricey side but definitely worth the visit. Food: The spicy ketchup is a must-have, it has just enough spice to make your mouth burn but not ruin the food. The breakfast burrito with either mole or carnitas tacos are absolutely insane. Always get the green rice too, I wish I could order it by the pound. Final notes: Definitely equal or better than Wolfgang's for breakfast, it is convenient that I can walk in at 8am and order lunch. 10/10

UPDATE: AVOID MEAN OWNER ATTACKS CUSTOMERS WILL NOT STOP HARRESSING ME AND MY FAMILY! SPREADING LIES-AVOID AT ALL COSTS!!! * MALICIOUS OWNER HIDES REVIEWS & LIES

We were loyal customers who were treated cruelly and publicly embarrassed by the owner multiple times!! There are so many kinder places to support in GR that are genuinely inclusive owners FAKES!!

Literally kicked out today for looking at a book near our table. The owner Steve, if that's his real name, is cruel and disrespectful of customers. Modifications are not allowed. We used to go every Sunday. No waiting area at Basalt; multiple times we can we were yelled at whole waiting for our table for being in the wrong spot.

At this particular visit, once aggressively chid about the book, we calmly shared our frustrations with our treatment at Basalt despite being loyal customers he canceled our meals and kicked us out! We were shocked! His behavior is irrational and cruel. He embarrassed us for no good reason.

Worst restaurant experience I've ever had. He has zero concern or respect for customers. I feel bad for the two good waiters, the woman and the gentleman with red hair. The owner lied directly to our faces as he talked over us to cover up the poor way he treated us multiple times we came in as regular customers.

I do not normally do reviews. I trust the good in people, but this guy is the worst. I was shocked and deeply disturbed by his behavior, and I don't want anyone to feel what my family did it was awful. I've seen the owner hunt down reviewers, too, so I am nervous. BEWARE! Scares me to think what this guy is capable of! Don't trust he word he says. Dishonest and the lacking integrity to admit his mistakes. I wish him growth as a...

Coffee was terrible pretty stingy with creamer. I'm not sure why it's called TEX-MEX I'm from Texas and the food is not from down there.. I guess the people dont know the difference over here.. my wife was on a Important phone call and had in speaker cuz she was looking up some info and the gentleman behind the counters who have been talking loud asked my wife to take off the call from speaker.. mind you the place was empty with no customers, and we weren't loud.. but yet we gotta hear the workers talking about if they are going to be slow this weekend with the business or not.. so we can hear their full blown conversation.. and personally stupid over priced for everything here..

Since I can't share a reply to your reply.. I am from El Paso TX, and lived in Houston TX.. so I know the culture. A 15 dollar plate in Texas will actually fill the plate. And yes I did actually ask for creamer got up and physically asked for creamer and only filled half that little silver cup for 2 people so I'm not just piling on.. and my manners are just fine, I'm just direct and blunt. But we can't have a conversation but we have to hear your conversations.. and if you from houston then you know alot of people are on phone calls when in restaurants.. but its ok.. I don't think you guys are worried about the community obviously just worried if business going to be slow.. a coffee shouldn't cost 5 dollars just for regular coffee.. I get it trying to be unique with he Food, just don't...

Firstly let's get 1 thing straight wether I am a "customer" or not respect is a 2 way street. I find your response especially offensive as I was there to get food for a "customer" So if that customer has a 30m lunch break. And expect their food at a set time that doesn't matter I guess. Ohh well but I can guarantee one thing even though I have been a customer there before which is why I gave you a 4* for food I will never be again.

Second you just straight out lied because I was in now WAY told it was being bagged before I left. The young lady who I asked for an update after 15 minutes of waiting told me exactly what I said earlier. Basically it would be ready when it was ready. And with a bit of an attitude like I was being a bother.

So I appreciate your response and I will definitely share it with other delivery drivers I know. Just to show your opinion of us.

Yet another restaurant off my take-out and 3rd party delivery pick up list. Because as usual the staff tell you 5-10m and at 15 when it's still not ready there like we're busy they can't rush so you can wait. Because honestly if I was told 20-30m at the start I would have dropped the 5 dollar order. I know they couldn't care less as it's my pay and the owners not theirs but seriously. Just be honest from the start. But you just blew 25m of my time. Might as well have just grabbed my wallet and taken $15. If I did that to you you'd be...
