It's like dining in fairy-tale!
The few times that I have visited the small, adorable, little café that is Brown Butter, I have always left in hopes of returning very soon. There is just something about the way in which this creperie is set up that almost makes you feel like you're apart of a hard-cover novel. I would acquaint the atmosphere of this eatery to watching specks float in a ray of sunlight on a warm, cozy day. On the other-hand, the overall esthetic breaths a small, toadstool-esque, hideaway.
The set up of the tables alone are charming. They have those glass bottles filled with water in the middle along with cups to pour into. Their tables and chairs are rustic in nature, but add volumes to the overall feel of the room. The seating along the window is by far my favorite, as it overlooks a small plot of grass.
The menus are online, and they expect you to have your order ready by the time you reach the counter. The wait in line isn't long, but your downtime for food is much more extended.
I have had a few of their crepes, and I can honestly say that they are some of the best I've eaten in general. I particularly enjoy it with some of their orange juice, which is equally as tasteful. The crepes typically lean towards the bigger size, and I often have to take it home with me to finish later. I will say that this café is a bit on the pricier side, but I also assure you that it is with good reason.
I would say that this would be the perfect spot for a lovely morning date, or an enjoyable breakfast with your mother/parent. If you have a hankering for something sweet in the early parts of the day, and you want to feel more at ease and whimsical than you could ever think possible, then look no further than Brown Butter...
Read moreI recently discovered a brunch paradise at Brown Butter Creperie and Cafe in Grand Rapids, and it left me absolutely smitten! From the moment I took a bite of their Strawberry and Nutella crepes (sans bananas) paired with a heavenly Lavender Chai Latte, I knew I had found a hidden gem. The flavors danced on my taste buds, and every bite was pure bliss.
What impressed me even more was the diverse menu they offer. Whether you're craving something sweet or savory, their crepes and waffles will surely satisfy your palate. Trust me, you can't make a wrong choice here! The culinary creations my coworkers ordered looked equally divine, leaving us all in a state of food envy.
The charm of Brown Butter extends beyond the delectable dishes. The interior is as inviting as can be, with a cozy and warm ambiance that instantly makes you feel at home. And if you prefer to bask in the sunlight, their super cute patio courtyard is the perfect spot to enjoy your meal outdoors.
But it's not just the food and atmosphere that make this place exceptional; it's also the impeccable service. The staff members were friendly, attentive, and passionate about ensuring we had a memorable dining experience.
I highly recommend Brown Butter Creperie and Cafe for anyone seeking a perfect brunch destination. It's an ideal place to gather with friends and family, share scrumptious food, and create lasting memories. Trust me, you won't be...
Read moreThe crepes are amazing and it is a very cute little breakfast place. I cannot give more than 1 star for the service because of their very long wait times and absolutely disorganized seating system and poor service We went on a Saturday morning for brunch. Stood in line for 20 minutes to be added to their waitlist with a 45 minute wait time for our table. After close to an hour we get the text notification and when we head back in, we are stuck again in the same line for another 20 minutes that people wait in to be added to a wait list, to order their take out and also to order dine in. After FINALLY getting a table, the actual wait begins!! The one coffee that I ordered comes in 40 minutes later and our crepes almost an hour later! At this point we are already there for over 2.5 hours. You go in for a breakfast and get your order at lunch time! We were just about ready to walk out of the place! We could see similar frustration at tables next to us. Some were getting a box soon after the order was served coz of how long it takes. There is no apology for this extremely poor service and the staff operate at snail's pace even when the place is so busy. Just shutting down for the day would be better if they cannot handle the crowd rather than making costumers wait indefinitely. It is a shame they make such good food but have the most horrible service...
