Mi Pueblito Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Grand Rapids

Honestly it's not bad here, but also nothing has really hooked me in yet. I've had a couple of tacos, and thought they were ok but the meat just never really hit the spot, it felt like it was missing something but it's hard to put down. I guess it just didn't have that heaviness to it, like it needed something a little fattier and tender? Maybe more salty? Tough to say, but again, it wasn't bad and I was glad I had something to eat at all and I enjoyed it. That being said the service was good and the place has a friendly vibe. They have a good selection of fridge beverages. I believe they also have or will have a refrigerated beverage dispenser, as I saw someone cleaning it last night, although I'm not 100% on that. Maybe some lemonade and/or horchata? That would be nice, I'll have to come back and see!

I also tried their wet burrito. Honestly not too shabby but my heart is still stuck on the wet burrito from Taco Boy (not Taco Bell haha, it's a local chain). It's hard for me to be unbiased but I will say I ate the whole thing! I have a small stomach so that is saying something.

I also tried their green sauce and their red sauce as well as their sour creme. Each one is good on their own, but they are all tangy and/or sour, and I wish there was something a little less sour and maybe a little more creamy and salty as an alternate option? But that's just me, they're all quite tasty.

Overall I'd say 4.5 stars (I wish I could do that on the review). Great service, good menu options, good vibes, good accessibility and location and I believe they also have good accomodations for GF, vegan, and vegetarian as well. The food is good but there is just something missing for me as of right now that I haven't found from them yet, but honestly I still have a lot of other things to try first before I can give my final word. when people talk about "where is the best _ food at", no matter what type of cuisine may be, the answer is usually a smaller, typically family run restaurant. as soon as i walked in i knew my meal was going to be spectacular. i got two tamales and a taco, and i did so thinking that i would be able to take a portion of this food home. it was 12:30 am, and i figured i wouldn't be able to eat all of it. i devoured my meal in less than 10 minutes, not only that, while my stomach was full, i craved more of what i had just eaten. i had to order another tamale to go. when i got up to leave, mind you this was around 1 am when i was leaving, i was not able to clean up after myself, because the man behind the counter came out and insisted that he would clean it himself, and as soon i walked out i saw him swiftly carry all of me and my friend's dishes to be cleaned. my time spent here was nothing short of fantastic. not only was my meal cheap, but the people working were insanely attentive despite...

You can tell this is a family run joint that GENUINELY cares about you and your experience every time you walk in that door. Truly genuine hospitality is so hard to find these days, and every single member of the family is so caring and happy to welcome you into their restaurant.
