Interesting enough this establishment makes wonderful cocktails and has a great atmosphere.

However, the staff i cannot say the same. I have been to this location many times both with friends and family and each time the bartenders have been arrogant, pretentious, and downright rude.

If there are no seats available, you are not allowed to order a drink and wait, they make you stand in the back hallway which dark and near the bathrooms.

On one occasion, they owned up to being rude and gave me two "silver coins" which represent two free drinks on your next visit. Which I did use when I brought my family for a visit. Only to be treated in the same rude arrogent manner. On this visit, one of my family members is hard of hearing and asked if they could adjust the music just a bit, they said yes but turned it up even louder just to spite them. This was the last straw.

I was asked not to return to this establishment, which is fine with me as i will never go back nor will I recommend this.

I would encourage the owner to take a little more responsibility for his businesses and listen to his customers, and maybe keep an eye on the bartenders who like to indulge in free drinks for themselves and their friends.

There are so many other great places to go in...

The atmosphere and decor were amazing. Unfortunately, the service was disappointing. Within the first 5 mins of our arrival and greeting each other in our group the bartender spoke to several different people complaining we were standing and we had to be in a seat with a drink. He gave us several dirty looks and several of my party felt uncomfortable with his attitude. My husband who sat at the bar had something directly leaking on him from the roof. The bartender just gave him a towel like it was nothing. We were also charge 20% gratuity without notice, which is bold considering how unwelcome our group felt. I spent $40 on 2 drinks and it wasn't a great experience. Definitely do not go here with any sort of group, you won't be welcome. It was a Tuesday night and it wasn't busy enough to warrant his rude, aggressive behavior about sitting down and ordering a drink before we barely took...

Absolutely terrible experience. My friend said this was one of his favorite places so we were optimistic. We walked in and the place was not busy. We did not feel welcomed and felt like our presence was not at all appreciated as paying customers. 1. The seats we asked for, we were told they wanted to keep them for parties of five, even though we were a party of four and they were not busy. 2. We received very condescending responses to out questions about which drinks were batch drinks and which were hand crafted. It was a very simple question, but it was met with such a negative attitude, we opted to leave and go somewhere. I hope this was an isolated incident, but it was enough for the is to decide we did not want to stay where we were...

We went here for the first time it’s a nice little spot to go for some actual cocktails. None of the pre-made drinks you can and will find at other local bars and restaurants. For my first drink I got the dealers choice- which I would highly, highly recommend. It gives the very knowledgeable bartenders the opportunity to show their creativity and artistry that goes into their craft. It’s somewhere I’d go for a couple drinks with a friend or two, not the atmosphere of a typical bar to be loud with a big group of people. I will be back for a drink or two before or after dinner at one of the fantastic restaurants Eastown has to offer.

I visit Grand Rapids often and have always enjoyed every trip. As a beer lover, who would not enjoy a trip to "Beer City". I started following a low carb diet in 2019 and figured I would move to bourbon. On my last trip to Grand Rapids I did a Google Search for cocktail bar and Buffalo Traders Lounge was suggested. I was not disappointed! We had 4 "dealers choice" cocktails before dinner and loved the conversation with the staff and other patrons. Each drink was unique and included details about the bourbons they picked and why. I will be back for sure and 100% recommend this place to anyone who enjoys an excellent cocktail.

We love the wonderful cocktails, Art Deco furniture and decor, and sophisticated but comfortable vibe. I asked the wonderful bartender questions about some of the drinks - he was super knowledgeable and happy to answer, but didn’t make me feel silly for asking questions (approachable) ☺️ The building is a midtown storefront, so be prepared for tighter quarters than you’d find in a large brewery. I personally love it, but understand that some may not prefer the smaller space.
