Look, buying a loose gemstone off of a website is a spooky proposition. I had never done it before, and the idea of it made me nervous.

My experience with Nick Ahlberg and Honey Jewelry Co goes all the way back to 2017. I was browsing Instagram for engagement ring ideas and Honey Jewelry Co rings caught my attention from the start. Yes, the custom ring designs caught my attention to begin with, but communicating with Nick throughout the process of designing and getting the engagement ring is where he became our trusted lifetime jeweler.

Back in 2017, Nick was working out of San Diego and I was in Colorado Springs. Communication started with e-mails and Nick was very responsive. We eventually went to texting and in no time, buying the engagement ring from Nick was easy. Having never spoke a word to any associates at Honey, I cautiously purchased the diamond online and to my surprise, Nick reached out the next day to say he'd happily ship the diamond OR if I was interested he'd create a rendering of a unique custom engagement ring for me. I had a ring in mind already but sent him my ideas and included a photo for inspiration and what Honey created far exceeded the original and also came in almost $1000 under the stock ring I was going to purchase. My wife now has (in my opinion) the most beautiful, custom, perfect for us, ornate, vintage looking, rose gold ring with a stunning salt & pepper diamond.
