This is a great coffee shop with phenomenal coffee and even better staff. I know I will always be greeted warmly when I walk through the door. I have been a regular since this shop was Lightfast Coffee. When Stovetop took over in 2018, I was skeptical, but they have only improved since then.

They offer delicious coffee, desserts, and bagels. Unlike other places in Grand Rapids, the team knows and cares about the coffee they serve. I don't think I have ever had a bad cup of coffee since they opened.

They also have retail coffee brand, shirts, and other merch for sale that is adorable; as a brand, Stovetop is so smart and cute. I have a couple of the shirts, hats, and so many stickers.

The shop itself is full of light and art. It provides a laid-back atmosphere to do some writing, studying, work, homework, etc. I always know I am gonna get work done when I am here.

Ok let me be upfront, the coffee is very good and the croissants were tasty. They have espresso, pour over and drip options that are done with care and precision. If you are getting things to go, this spot can compete with any coffee shop in GR. But atmosphere and vibe matter if you're going to hangout so let me describe this place. It's clean and the staff have a quiet kindness about them. There's a lovely and large front window that allows you to witness the movements of locals. The music is ethereal folk which is not everyone's jam, but it true to Stove Top. The cliental are fancy and or cerebral. Very progress crowd which at times makes you feel like your a library or a lobby to a boutique hotel where kids presence or at least noise is not invited.
