Fruition Açai & Juice Bar — Restaurant in Grand Rapids

I had been a loyal Fruition GR customer for the last 3 years up until today. Last week I visited and purchased the same bowl that I've always ordered (9.13.2024) that was NOT to my liking after I tried some if it. I returned to the store to let them know and was told I needed to email the owner in order to discuss a refund mind you any type of compensation was never offered. After realizing I wasn't going to be compensated I walked back to my car to send the email and as I entered again the staff were saying very unkind and unprofessional remarks regarding me bringing my bowl back. Today, finally after calling inquiring why I hadn't heard anything back then did she contact me to only basically tell me that I was lying, I needed to provide picture and or video of the bowl as "proof" and that I wouldn't receive any refund just 25% off my next purchase of spending my own money. Not once did she acknowledge or apologize for her employers rude remarks. I will not be returning, customers should be valued and treated better.

NOW its stated that her employees weren't made aware of what was wrong with my bowl after I told them EXACTLY what the issue was and the bowl was NOT fully eaten otherwise why would I have driven all the way back to the establishment. Very disappointing. I had ordered a juice that supposed to have Apple,...as the first ingredient, beet, celery, ginger & lemon. However, all I tasted was the beet,....nothing else and I could not even finish the juice because I started to feel extremely nauseated and it lasted for about 2 hrs. Had to toss the rest. I also ordered the Poppy Bowl. Ingredients: Spinach, Quinoa, Walnuts, Strawberry, Eggs, and Avocado. First, they forgot to put the Quinoa and Avocado in the bowl. Strawberries were pretty much non existing. Looks like one strawberry cut into 1/8 slices. For the price very disappointing. It sure does not look like a 10.00 salad. Also, looking at the produce displayed behind the counter,...the kale looked yellow,....should not even be used anymore and tossed out. Not impressed at all. I tried to eat the salad today,...due to feeling sick after the juice yesterday...and the strawberries are already not eatable. I don't believe the produce is as fresh as they like you to believe. I can’t say enough good things about this place. Hands down my favorite place to eat in GR 👌 It’s soooo refreshing, the service is great, and it’s a nice bright atmosphere. Cheers me up when I’m having a rough day, and brightens my day on the bright days. Been coming here about twice a week for two years.

I get the sub-yo, minus raspberry/blueberry/pineapple + kiwi/strawberry/chocolate chips 🤤

Everything Avocado toast with the vinaigrette stuff they have + everything seasoning - my go to as well.

Great pit stop from biking or running. We usually hit it on our way back from East Town. Lots of windows so we can keep an eye on the bikes, and there’s picnic tables outside to sit in the sun.

Shoutout to the whole staff for always being so friendly and going above and beyond. Estelle makes the dankest bowls 👌
