⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ I stopped by GoVeganRestaurantGR at the Downtown Market in Grand Rapids and left seriously impressed. I tried the Leo King of the Sea, a Cajun fried shrimp sandwich stacked with crisp lettuce, fresh tomatoes, and a drizzle of Cajun aioli. The texture and flavor were spot on—crispy, zesty, and satisfying in every bite. It’s a vegan take on a seafood classic, and they absolutely nailed it. I also had the Double Trouble Gemini Twin Burger, which is a mouthful in more ways than one. This Impossible patty is loaded with crunchy pickles, sharp jalapeños, crisp veggies, creamy pepper jack vegan cheese, and their signature Zotti sauce. Every layer added something special—spicy, tangy, creamy, and savory all at once. Definitely a must-try for burger lovers. The location inside the Downtown Market is super convenient, and the vibe is laid-back but inviting. They’re open until 8 p.m. every day, which makes it a great spot for dinner after shopping or hanging out downtown. Overall, GoVeganRestaurantGR is a gem in Grand Rapids—creative, flavorful, and a great option whether you’re vegan or just looking for delicious food. I’ll be back!!!!

The wife and I are pescatarian and really enjoy plant-based meat. Seeing this place pop up on our maps search was a very hopeful sign that Grand Rapids was stepping up their plant-based restaurant game. I ordered the “Libra Tip the Scale Philly” and she ordered the “Caps Kickin Chicken Sandwich” they both came a la carte at a fair price. We split them in half and we were both impressed by the sandwiches. Tip the Scale Philly- this sandwich was easily the most impressive! Absolutely everything about this sub reminds me of the Philly cheesesteaks I had before giving up red meat. Even the consistency of the plant-based beef, with its spectacular mouthfeel, left me craving more! Kickin Chicken Sandwich- the plant-based chicken reminded me of a Gardein Ultimate and I say that as a complement. The sauce was well adjusted but might be heading in the wrong direction. The real winner here is THE BACON!! It complimented the p-b chicken perfectly and really sealed the deal. Can’t wait to come back!

I had the pleasure of visiting Grand Rapids the same weekend Go Vegan GR had their grand opening. I stopped by to support them and enjoy some new vegan food, and I am very glad I did.

They are tucked into a little place at the Downtown Market, directly across the street from a parking lot. The space itself is modest and there are not very many tables there for dine in, though of course there is seating in other parts of the market.

The staff is friendly and positive, they all seemed happy to be there even though they were at work. Always a good sign. You order and pay at the register, and then pick up your food at the other end of the counter. The menu they boast is mostly sandwiches and sides, but the variety of flavors on offer is impressive. They have burgers, chicken sandwiches, fish, meatball sub, cheesesteak, and wraps, plus fries, onion rings, side salad.

The food itself was delicious. I tried quite a few different items and would return for any of them: Libra Tip the Scale Philly, Fries, Aquarius Spicy Chicken Sandwich, Onion Rings, Caps Kick'n Chick'n Sandwich, and Fiesty Pisces Fish Sandwich. This is a great new business in downtown Grand Rapids and I will be stopping by each time I am in town.

Do yourself a favor and...
