As of 08.14.25 Slow opening..... it was just ok..... I'm glad I know how good the food CAN BE because I wouldn't go back if it was my first experience with thier food. Maybe give them another try in a few weeks if you were less than impressed. Until then, I will reserve getting my falafel sandwich in Rockford. In Rockford you get one good size pita, with three LARGE falafel, and a whole pickle spear in the sandwich with a light bed of mixed greens and a healthy helping of tomatoes. At this location my sandwich was more mixed greens than anything else. It was two smaller pita, and I had 1.5 falafel per pita. That's right, they actually cut a falafel in HALF to split 3 small falafel between two pita. They use very thin pickle slices instead of a spear.... the whole thing together just isn't as good. The ratios of ingredients is what made the Rockford falafel such a superstar sandwich, here it was a Mixed Green with Falafel Crumble sandwich. So, I hope they make a trip there, and see how it's done, because that is one killer sandwich...
Read moreI am a regular customer to all the toasted pickle locations, and by far this is the worst one. They are struggling after months of being open to stay consistent with the original recipes. I have tried this location 4 times now to make sure I was not jumping to conclusions, however every time I ordered the same thing I received a different outcome. The tomato soup can either have too much heavy cream and look pink, or be missing cream in general. The Mac and Cheese is not the same as Rockford or Grand Haven, and is all sauce no noodles. Every time I have ordered it too I have had different types of noodles. They still have the sign up sharing they are "soft-opening" however, it has been months now that they have been open, but I am not seeing a difference. I was so excited for this location as it is closer to home, but looks like I will still have to drive out to other locations to get the toasted pickle I have become...
Read moreI wanted to love it. Ordered the French Dip, $14.95. Pricey for what is probably a 9" sandwich. Order online link and website is messed up, so had to give card info and order over phone.
Service was pleasant. I don't recommend SUVs or trucks use the drive thru for pickup. I could barely get out with out hitting the curb or dumpster.
Now for the food...sandwich looked pretty good and tasted good until half way through I bit into a bone. Then inspected the sandwich further and found some other animal body part. See pic. To think I already ate half the sandwich before this happened...omg I want to vomit thinking about it. Restaurant should probably "pick thru" their meat better.
Previous restaurants at this location were unsuccessful. You guys got some work to do if you want to stick around for a while. Take some pride in your food. Your...
