1st time: The subs are amazing.
2nd time: I left feeling like my money is no good here.
I went to Socal Subs today with my family and tried placing my order with whom I'm assuming is the manager. He did not address me so I went ahead and started telling him what I would like to order to which he replied that he couldn't help me place my order "because the pricing isn't correct on the computer and it might take a few moments". I'm a patient person and understand that computers can take time so I said something along the lines of "not a problem, take your time"... I didn't realize what was actually happening until he called for an employee in the back " to help with THIS" and heard the employee say "OHHHH" when his eyes met mine and then asked what I'd like to order. When I went to pay, the same guy taking my order handed me back my money as he was getting me my change and I had to give him my money again after I took the change.
I wouldn't have second guessed this awkward encounter as anything but poor software problems and spotty customer service until my husband saw a sign promoting their new, red shirts and hats with a "Make subs great again" quote as we waited for our order and decided what to do next... Do we ask for a refund? Is this grounds for a refund? Do I throw the sandwich back at them? Throw it away in front of them? Burn it?
Maybe they were having a bad day? Maybe the heat was getting to them?
Either way, we won't...
Read moreI've been coming here for years and I would order my BLT to be made with love, and after years of love and a few rocky changes, I'd like to announce that me and BLT are getting married ❤️❤️🥪🥖🥪
But in all seriousness, this place is legit delicious. I order my BLT (now ultimate BLT) with a book of modifications and they make it perfect almost every time. The #37 inland empire is also so perfect, topped with all the fixings, I always get mayo on both sides and toasted bread.
The combo is great for me and my S/O because you get two items (we both get a bag of chips, but you could get cookies) and a large drink.
They also have Koolaid choices that change up.
I'd say the only thing to be aware of is the chip and cookie supply can change and you have to learn how to order on the kiosk, or on the app, but the owner is always very helpful on showing you how it's done. And I truly miss the soft serve and cone they had back in the day... Oh and lastly, they aren't open Sunday, which is great for them to get to rest, but if you're craving a bomb sandwich, you got a wait till Monday or go get a lesser one...
Read moreI was in the mood for something new for lunch. I was craving some sort of a deli sandwich, so I looked up "deli" in Google Maps. The closest place that showed up was SoCal Subs in Grand Terrace. It was only a few miles away, so I decided to give them a shot. I'm glad that I did.
The employees that I interacted with were incredibly friendly. They have ordering kiosks, and one offered to help me with it. I looked at the menu before I arrived, so I had an idea of what I wanted.
What you see here is a 6 inch "Boss," which is ham and salami. I had it accessorized their way, minus lettuce... I just don't care for lettuce on sandwiches. I chose provolone for the cheese. I didn't look closely, but it was sent through a toaster/small pizza oven type deal.
I must say... it was fantastic! Very flavorful. It kind of reminded me of Quiznos... only this was better.
I will definitely be...
