☆☆☆☆☆ HOLY RAMEN ☆☆☆☆☆
THE WAIT WAS WORTH IT Especially for being around this area!! THEN.. Come on, Open 24-7 too!! They have seats outside while you wait to be called.
This place checked off so many things on our list. We're very picky in ramen. And this place has now made our top 5. Check out their kitchen space & well equipped ramen station!! Their an AWESOME TEAM ALL ACROSS!! Friendly & attentive. Upbeat place w comfort food for a decent price.
Our Waitress Jeanie was definitely well pleasant & friendly from start to finish. Checked on us all the time. Even other servers did as well. Met one of Their main Leaders, James. I raved to him that opening one in Chino Hills, CA area, KAZ will shut down everyone else!! NOT JOKING!! OR Even better a growing newer city Eastvale, CA. Doesn't even need to be open 24-7! Located right Off the 15 (near to 91 too) freeway before the 60 freeway. Next to a newly built Costco & other new spots!!! You open it & EVERYONE WILL COME!! I PROMISE!! :)

We're EXTREMely particular about Ramen. Broths: varieties (2-3 is the norm) KAZ you totally Nailed it! the KEY essential to Ramen! And in my experiences everywhere for over 20+ years throughout the Inland Empire to the parts of OC, LA, SGV & even the greatest spots well known, in our opinion MOST FAIL at this category however NOT KAZ RAMEN CHEF'S recipe!! Spot On! Nailed it bc #1 Not too Salty #2 flavoring was just right. Authenticity Japanese quality #3 Creaminess #4 Cook time, you knew it was done in the process rather than the shortcut of adding in substitutes further ingredients. I could go on n on... blahhhhh Noodles: another essential, Good yellow wavy textured noodles. Nice thickness. Doughy risen freshly made noodles. Boiled perfectly. Portion Size: more than enough I Live in Chino Hills, I'll be back often
We ordered a small kimchi fried rice Miso: yellow noodles, pork extra crispy, egg, corn, just right spicy. Tonkotsu: yellow, double order of pork extra crispy aka ask for "well done pork"
Everything was just great. Ambiance. Huge on the flavor. Service. Pricing. Boom boom boom boom. Bring it to Eastvale city limits!!! Not just Riverside & Vegas!!! :D Spread this poison! It'll be the prime go-to spot I...
Read moreI haven’t been to this spot for about 2 years now.. so it’s been a while. Last I remember this place is super busy, customer service on point & food delicious. Last night my boyfriend & I went after a comedy show. It was my boyfriends first time having ramen & I was excited for him to not only experience the Ramen but Kaz Ramen. Sadly, the customer service wasn’t as it was 2 years ago. I know things change but even the vibe off the crew was so dull & ugh. I remember you came in you’d be seated & your order taken. Now you wait for your order to be taken & seat yourself. Okay, things change that’s fine. So, I ordered the Niku Ramen & my boyfriend ordered a large order of chicken friend rice (to play it safe just in case he didn’t like the ramen). We get my boyfriends order of fried rice & first off they filled the bowl with a little less than half of rice. We paid $14 for a large which was less than half the bowl.. then I was like where’s your chicken? lol. Don’t look like he’s got any. I take the bowl to the chef to ask if they put chicken because we didn’t see any. I hand the bowl over to the girl chef & she literally takes a good minute to look for the chicken.. At this point I’m thinking yeah she forgot. Even she said “I didn’t put chicken?”. Questioning herself. N then the other chef comes by & says the chicken are like bacon bits their very small. Then, she finds a piece of chicken. Which looks like they over boiled it to the point that it shreds apart like tuna. (IYKYK). Being mixed in with the egg, you couldn’t tell the difference. I was like Okay?.. confused cuz I’ve never bought chicken fried rice with tiny chicken pieces. Then on top of that the rice was a complete disappointment. The rice was oily & tasted like it had been cooked on a pan that had been cooked on over & over again. You know that burnt fried tasted. Anyhow, on the upside the niku ramen was still fire. I told my boyfriend they got a sister Ramen spot in downtown Riverside I’ve visited more recently, so next time we’ll go there instead. Maybe last night they weren’t having a goodnight but sucks because it’s been so long since I visited & I was so excited to go back just to be disappointed. I wish I would of taken a picture of didn’t think of it...
Read moreI came here for takeout. Thank God I didn't have to wait in line because the place was CROWDED with no place to sit while I waited. I ordered the tonkotsu ramen with Japanese premier pork (pork belly), spinach, beni shōga (pickled unsweetened ginger), woodear mushrooms, and ajitsuke (ramen eggs). I also ordered the chashu fried rice. The tonkotsu broth was more salty than I preferred though the flavor was in the right direction. I wouldn't ask for the premier pork. My sous vide version I make at home was better. It could had been better had they properly panfried it without hammering the pork. I still don't know how they could have done that without rendering the overgenerous fat of the cut. The egg was over-cured for my liking, but I prefer my ajitsuke that is heavier on the sweetness and more teriyaki in flavor. However the yolk was cooked perfectly, and this is difficult to do it correctly. I do love the noodles. I know I've read reviews that thought the noodles were too thin. Not at the ramen-yas I ate at in Japan. These were perfect. The fried rice was weird. Again, way too salty. I didn't taste the chashu as much as I thought I should have. I didn't object to the fish paste added. I had been warned, and I found the flavoring interesting. But considering it all, I think it still had a heavier salt load than I cared for, and I've eaten in Japan where the average sodium consumption is 6-36 grams a day!
However, I want to say that though I give the food two stars, I give the waitstaff five stars in service! They were exceptional! I can't say more good things about them for helping me out as well as helping out everyone else within the restaurant. (What else am I to do while waiting for the food? Watch everyone around me, of course!)
Maybe I was there on an off day. I do plan to go back on a better day and see if it was just them... or me. (After all, my taste buds can be more sensitive to salt one day and less so on others... at least that's the operating theory. I'll update you all...
