Dairy Queen Grill & Chill — Restaurant in Grandview

Food is usually good & order is correct sometimes but service is often slow with the drive thru line stretching out into the street. I've spent 30 minutes in their drive thru on several occasions. This could be helped if they had people with orders that take longer to prepare park and bring the food out to them like McDonald's, Popeye's, Arby's, etc does. UPDATE: Since my post 7 months ago this DQ has not improved. I'm sitting in their drive thru right now and have been for 25 minutes. Only 5 cars ahead of me have left since I got here. Does anyone manage this place or care how poor the service is? UPDATE #2: Visited this DQ again. I had recently received a couple of incorrect orders in a row so I asked if they could confirm my order was correct. They gave it to me to check and all the components seemed to be there and correct...until I got home. Found my double cheeseburger only had 1 patty and no condiments. I called the store to have this addressed. A young lady who identified herself as a manager was put on the line and said she would not replace my incorrect order because she was present when I checked it myself. Yes, I did make sure the components were there but I didn't open up the burger to see if it was right! She again stated she would not do anything for me because I already said it was correct. I don't know how this girl somehow failed upwards into a manager position when she is rude and has zero customer service skills. Apparently, customers are expected to open up their sandwiches to make sure their order is correct before leaving the drive thru 🤦‍♀️ This visit was among the worst I've had at any fast food restaurant. This location is subpar in every way. Many of the staff act like they don't even want to be there and certainly don't care about delivering a quality product or friendly customer service (this doesn't apply to everyone, there are a few kids there that are friendly and actually engage with the customer). The only reason people continue to put up with this DQ is there are few fast food choices in Grandview. From what I can see neither the owner nor management staff care about delivering consistent quality service or product. Unless all of that is ok with you, don't bother with this DQ. Eli & Kathy's is right down the street. Prices are a bit higher but my order is always right and always served with a smile. 1 star only because it won't let me...

This place was absolutely electric. My compadres and I are riding together on an 8 hr road trip to see Kendrick Lamar and sza live in concert tomorrow and decided “hey, what the Heck. With all the options around here, why not check out dq?” We have been watching rango and it’s pretty good so far. I’d give it 3.5 stars. For those unfamiliar rango is a 2011 animated feature about a lizard’s odyssey through desert. Our plucky hero is a sneaky intelligent boy with a whole lotta heart. The hijinx that ensue are absolutely legendary. So me, Ryan, drew, van, Eli, and Kaleb pull into a solid spacious parking lot and PAUSE OUR MOVIE come in. All 6 of us walked in with vibes at an all time high and we were not disappointed. From being bullied by an old man, to being given 6 cups of gravy after asking for bbq and ranch, this place offered so many surprises. The staff waved me off when I asked for a replacement but we pressed on undeterred. Finally after our sixth time asking we got one cup of buffalo sauce. Overall added an hour to our trip. Pretty chill tho and food was as good as any other dq. Despite adding that hour I’m still feeling good because we resumed rango and it’s heating up. I’m on a massive road trip with my 6 pals. We decide we need to stop for food and this place was the only one in the entire town! We pull over and walk in me and one of the fellas go first and get our food fairly quick. The odd thing was we asked for ranch when we ordered and received gravy being told there was no ranch in the entire store. Then my next 2 friends go and also order and also asked for ranch this time however they were told they could get ranch. My next set of friends get their food with a burger covered in ranch so we know there’s ranch in the god damn store. However in actual places where we wanted ranch there was none… then finally the last 2 friends were up. They went and ordered and asked for buffalo sauce. Guess what they got… freakin gravy!!! They continued to go back asking for the buffalo sauce and asked 7 times until they finally got Buffalo sauce but continued to somehow get more gravy. By the end of this story there are only a couple take aways you need. RANCH ASKED FOR: 6 RANCH RECIVED:.5 (on one burger) BUFFALO SAUCE ASKED FOR: 2 RECIVED: 1(after 7 attempts) GRAVY ASKED FOR: (0) RECIEVED: 12… why did we get TWELVE...
