Wise Guys Pizzeria — Restaurant in Grapevine

CUSTOMER SERVICE AND professionalism IS TERRIBLE TERRIBLE TERRIBLE. . . .'DON'T I SOUND LIKE TRUMP?' LOL BUT SERIOUSLY. MY HUSBAND IS AN ACCOUNT EXEC AND THIS AREA IS WAY OUTSIDE OF HIS USUAL ROUTE HOWEVER THE GUY THAT COVERS THIS AREA IS ON VACATION SO MY HUSBAND HAS BEEN COVERING FOR HIM FOR THE TWO WEEKS HE'S OUT. WELL HE stumbled UPON THIS PLACE WHILE IN THE AREA AND HE GAVE IT A TRY. HE ORDERED TAKE OUT instead OF DINING IN AND HE CALLED ME BRAGGING ABOUT THE FOOD. SO YESTERDAY HE CAME FOR A SECOND VISIT AND HE WAS SO KIND TO BRING ME A LIL SAMPLE OF PIZZA BACK HOME & I MUST SAY THE PIZZA WAS SOOOOOO DELICIOUS. MY TASTE BUDS ARE ON 10 SINCE I'M PREGNANT SO EVERYTHING IS TO THE MAX THAT I EAT. TODAY I HAD AN APPOINTMENT TO CHECK ON OUR NEW BUNDLE OF JOY IN DOWNTOWN FORT WORTH. I HAD TO FAST FOR THIS APPOINTMENT BECAUSE THEY WERE DOING THE GLUCOSE TESTING. SO I WAS EXTREMELY HUNGRY AFTER MY MORNING APPOINTMENT. I WANTED TO HAVE LUNCH WITH MY HUSBAND SINCE IT'S RARE THAT I HAVE A DAY OFF DURING THE WEEK SO HE TOLD ME THE AREA HE WAS IN WHICH WAS 55 MINS FROM ME. I DECIDED TO MAKE THE DRIVE. WHILE ON MY WAY I ASK HIM IF HE WAS GOING TO TAKE ME TO THE PIZZA PLACE HE SAID HE WOULDN'T BE DONE WITH HIS STORE IN TIME BUT HE GAVE ME THE ADDRESS AND I DROVE 55 MINS TO GET TO THIS PLACE. WENT INSIDE NO ONE GREETED ME WHICH WAS FINE I SEEN A SIGN AT THE FRONT DOOR THAT SAID SEAT YOURSELF. I SAT IN THE Boothe IN FRONT OF THE REGISTER. SARA THE FIRST WAITER I SEEN WALKED RIGHT PAST ME WENT TO GET somethinG FROM BY THE MAIN ENTRANCE AND WALKED RIGHT BK PAST WITH NOT A WORD. 20 MINS LATER GROUP OF THREE WHITE GUYS WALKED IN SEATED THEMSELVES RIGHT NEXT TO ME AND SARA AND THE GUY BEHIND THE BAR CAME RUNNING OVER SAYING HELLO WELCOME TO WISE GUYS AND ASK WHAT THEY WOULD LIKE TO EAT. AFTER TAKING THEIR ORDER AFTER WALKING OFF THE GUY TURNED AROUND AND ASK IF I HAD BEEN HELPED. I SAID NO SIR HE SAID IM SORRY I'LL GET SOMEONE RIGHT OVER. THIS LADY NAME CHRIS CAME OUT AND SAID DO YOU KNOW WHAT U WANT I SAID NO DO YOU GUYS HAVE MENUS HERE SHE SAID YES HOLD ON LET ME GO FIND ONE. SHE CAME BACK ASK ME WHAT I WANTED TO DRINK I ORDERED A WATER WITH LEMONS. AFTER SCANNING OVER THE MENU FOR ABOUT TWO MINS I KNEW WHAT I WANTED BUT NOBODY EVER CAME BK TO ASK WAT I WANTED SO AFTER 15 MINS I YELLED OVER TO THE BAR CAN I ORDER NOW AND THAT'S WHEN I HEARD THE CHRIS LADY FROM THE KITCHEN YELL I GOT IT. SHE CAME OUT EVENTUALLY AND TOOK MY ORDER. THE DON ALL MEAT AND THE WINGS. SHE SAID OK AND LEFT. 25 MINS LATER SHE CAME BACK WITH THE WINGS. SHE SLIDE THEM ON THE TABLE AND SCURRIED AWAY. LEAVING ME TO SIT ANOTHER 10 MINS UNTIL I SEEN SOMEONE AND ASK FOR DIPPING SAUCE FOR THE WINGS. BY THIS TIME THE THREE GUYS THAT CAME IN AFTER ME HAD ALREADY ATE DRANKED A BEAR PAID AND WAS GETTING READY TO LEAVE. SHE FINALLY BROUGHT OUT MY PIZZA. I THEN ASK IF I COULD HAVE SOME BREAD LIKE THE ONE'S THEY BROUGHT OUT COMPLEMENTARY FOR THE GUYS UNTIL THEIR FOOD WAS DONE. 10 MINS LATER I RECEIVED THAT. I ATE MY FOOD IN DISBELIEF I FELT SO UNCOMFORTABLE LIKE I WAS IN A WHITE'S ONLY RESTAURANT. AFTER EATING I WAS SOOOO READY TO GO AND WOULD HAVE LIKED A REFILL OF WATER BUT I WAS LEFT TRYING TO SAVIOR THE ONE AND ONLY GLASS I WAS BROUGHT. NO ONE EVER CAME TO ASK IF I NEEDED ANYTHING ELSE I HAD TO GET UP TO FIND SOMEONE TO PAY FOR MY FOOD AND ASK FOR A TO GO BOX. BTW THE FOOD WAS OUTSTANDING!!!!!! I HOPE THEY DIDN'T DO ANYTHING MEAN AND NASTY TO IT THOUGH GIVEN THE TREATMENT I WAS GIVEN. BUT THE FOOD WAS SOOOOOO AWESOME TO THE POINT IT MAKES ME SAD THAT I CAN NEVER REVISIT DUE TO THE LACK OF SERVICE. OH LAST THING WHEN I CAME IN IT WAS 12:30PM ON A WEDNESDAY THERE WERE ONLY THREE GUYS DRINKING AT THE BAR NO OTHER CUSTOMERS WAS IN THERE BUT ME AND THE THREE GUYS. I’ve been to wise guy’s awhile but the last time I went (which was the day we could start dining in at restaurants) was what put me over to not come back EVER. We were fortunate to get a seat inside because it was very busy but when we sat down I noticed something off. I then realized one of the managers was just sitting at booth drinking with his legs across the booth. I thought it weird because it looked very very unprofessional but I ignored it. Then a couple with an infant came in to dine and asked if they could have a table inside because they didn’t want to eat with their infant outdoors. The host looked around and told them the indoor dining was full due to limited seating for COVID 19 and they would have to wait about 15min for a table. I notice that the manager looked up and noticed what was going on and he didn’t even move! I was shocked to my core that he would take up a whole table for four to just sit and drink and be on his phone. He could have easily moved to the bar but didn’t. I was DISGUSTED! Throughout our dining experience he had 3 beers and also the other manger and one waiter sat down and just chatted for about 10min. I guess the waiter that was sitting with them was supposed to be waiting on the table behind us and I overheard the people dining at that table getting irritated that she wouldn’t bring the check for them. I will not go to a restaurant that will treat customers like that! I advise others to do the same. I would really enjoy it for the owner or the managers see this and give me the excuse of this behavior. I don’t want an apology. I want a good valid reason for this service. If you would like I can even call and you can tell me over phone because words on a screen can have no meaning to people. I’ve dealt with bad service and restaurants but this was by far...

This place this place this place....me and my family of 7(4 kids and 3 adults) enjoyed the atmosphere, service and food from bar/restaurant. Had family staying at Great Wolf Lodge for the weekend and decided to ride down to visit and enjoy seeing family and the water park. Did not want to eat at the lodge way too expensive and was just looking for a local place to eat with good ratings and found Wise Guys Pizzeria.

We tried a place before going to Wise Guys and left upset and without eating. As soon as we walked in there was not 1 but 2 smiling faces saying "welcome we will be right with you." Our party was big but we were seated right away as they quickly cleaned the booth and put menus down. Did not even wait long for a waiter; she walked up introduced herself and got our drink order.

While she got our drinks (some gentleman-I'm thinking he's incharge) came over and chatted with our group asked how everything was going and if we needed anything. This is before drinks or anything was even at the table. He noticed the kiddos and still we haven't ordered and we had not 1 but 3 basket of garlic nots and sauce at our table(awesome because kiddos were hungry).

My dining experience and my families was exceptional and the food delicious the atmosphere was also great. All we kept saying was how good they were and how they deserved the rating they have onGoogle when I looked them up. I believe our waiter was Courtney - the best did not have to ask for any drinks or napkins; she even helped with options for food since the menu had such variety.
