Everything about this place is great except the manager. I go here to write, today I spent around 20$ sat quietly, read and wrote all morning. Soon as she showed up same as last time, I'm an instant problem. I was right outside the window talking to a friend, my belongings within eye sight. She very aggressively and rudely asked me to leave for not watching my stuff, which I clearly was, I could point to my things through the window. Her, trying to comply to the rules of the establishment, couldn't budge on the policy, or be polite about it whatsoever. Last time she put all my things in a garbage bag with a bunch of items that belonged to somebody else, when I left with just my things she asked if she could throw the rest of it away. I replied that she should probably ask whoever it belonged to, she twirled around abruptly with a clear note of disdain for me challenging her actions regarding my belongings. In short, every other employee at this place has been great, this particular woman gave me the type of experience as a patron where I'm pretty sure I will never be coming back for any reason. Both times the place was not busy as in around 80% of the seating was available. Her reseason for the policy was leaving your things unattended makes her responsible and keeps other patrons from finding seating. Both issues appearing covered to me, since I could literally touch my bag through the window if it wasn't there and the fact the place was almost completely empty. Never going back to this establishment because of this interaction, she was extremely rude about the ordeal as well, where I barely said a thing. In short, it is clear that the woman plain didn't like me. Well darling, I feel completely...
Read moreTHIS Flour Garden location is definitely better than the Neal Street location. It is cleaner, and more intentionally constituted for customer enjoyment. Pretty sure the food is the same, so it's to the ownerships credit that they have mastered consistency, but the employees at this location are typically more pleasant and efficient.
I love their vegan soup options, and that they keep frozen soups available to take home. I do wish there were more vegan options - sandwiches, hot food, etc., but until then we always enjoy their bagels with hummus, cucumbers, and tomatoes. They also have a lot of non-mammary milk options, so it's a great place for coffee and coffee blends, and their smoothies are amazing! Kids corner is tidy, and the outdoor seating is...
Read moreI just had a horrible experience. I am a customer, I come EVERY DAY for breakfast since I live in Grass Valley. And the mistreatment and rudeness of a short red haired employee, I understand my 3 month old chihuahua was not well behaved, I offered to clean up and disinfect the accident my puppy had. But there are ways to say things, just as there are ways to speak nicely without disrespecting her. Plus I got kicked out of the coffee shop without even being able to buy a coffee. I left the place in tears, something like that had never happened to me before. Clearly I will never come back and I will talk to all the people I know, who are customers, not to come back again. It is horrible that they treat a person badly just because of the anger of this red...
