Honestly the best dining experience I can say worldwide! My wife and I stopped in on a Tuesday and were more than pleasantly surprised. First was the wine with fresh raspberries a shangrala, excellent quality and the raspberries were delightful to eat right from the glass! Next was the bread basket 2 different bread styles with the multiple spice olive oil dip, extremely delicious! We did not order a appetizer due the the entrees that our waitress suggested! I was eyeing the New York strip and was not disappointed! Best steak ever, the cut was perfect, perfectly seasoned with a garlic butter to top it off, still makes my mouth water writing this review! Next the garlic mashed potatoes excellent, followed by the grilled seasoned vegetables absolutely amazing and I am not a vegetable guy! There was nothing left on my plate! My wife ordered the Shrimp Alfredo after the first bite she looked at me and stated " This is the best Alfredo Sauce I have ever had".... We sampled each others meals as we do and just looked at each other in utter disbelief on how perfect the meals taste, texture and everything to perfection, seriously in Grayling Michigan! Next we tried a few desesrts, the special ice cream with a chocolate covered waffle bowl....wow just wow... I ordered the carmel chessecake..... I have a food fetish on cheesecake hands down the best I have ever had! This restaurant in my opinion just put Grayling on the map for the best restaurant to travel to as a destination for "The Finest Dining Ever" To top that off the atmosphere is 100% class! Kudos to this...
Read moreAs a connoisseur of Italian cuisine for the last 46 years I provide you with my honest review: our appetizer consisted of meatballs diavolo and a Caprese. The meatballs were just okay, normally I would like to see them seared or roasted with a bit of crispiness on the outside. Nothing jumped out of me regarding the flavor. The Caprese was awesome and the vegetables were very fresh. The pan seared salmon was okay, nothing wrong with it - but nothing that would make us order it again. Lasagna - served in a cast iron crock, The portion size was good and the flavor of the sauce was okay but did not remind me of the authentic meat sauce as I have had in the past. One of our guests got the gluten-free chicken alfredo and she was thoroughly impressed. Our other guest got a mixed seafood special and was pleased with his dinner also.. The service was top-notch. 11-2025 made a return visit. Baked ravioli as an appetizer was great 8 oz filet was cooked perfectly Chicken parmesan was overcooked and dry as if it had been made prior to the day of cooking, The worst part was the sauce, it was very acidic and didn't have that "feel" in the mouth. At the end of our meal we determined that everything was somewhat over salted, We had to consume a few glasses of water before our departure. By far, the best dining experience available in Grayling.
Server was awesome.
4 minutes after we sat down and I got pinged by Facebook saying welcome to Mimi and Pipis. I realize that we live in a surveillance environment, but I'm counting that as a negative part of the...
Read moreWow. Knew this place was coming, but blown away by the experience. The decor was very stylish, and the food was fantastic. The bolognese was fabulous and unique. The menu covered the Italian staples and then some. I sat at the bar and took it all in. I took a picture of the bar just because I thought it was so stylish. The place was pretty busy and yet service was on top of it. Everyone seemed to be having a great time. While it was all wonderful, the best part for me was that they kept the red wine at the correct temperature ( a pet peeve of mine)! Kudos for having an appropriate wine refrigeration system! I was also impressed that the pricing was very reasonable, especially for the quality they were delivering. Sage was the bartender and quite personable. She made the perfect wine pairing suggestion and obviously enjoyed working there, making it an even more enjoyable experience. Jacob the general manager was knowledgeable and obviously excited to be part of the place. Very customer focused. Definitely knew his wine and created a fun environment. Finally, I got to meet the proprietors, Matt and Christine. Their passion for the restaurant and Grayling was contagious. They were humble and excited to provide such a “new” dining experience for the community, it was touching. The community seems to have responded very positively. In short, Mimi & Pipi’s takes Grayling to another level and we should all be thankful for that. Can’t...
