I went to stop by crown for a drink as I sometimes do. I love most of the bartenders but every time I go there is always this one with an awful attitude. For example, I had once asked Karlee to turn on the fire pit outside and she storms out there with out saying a word to us. I thanked her and she still didn’t say a single word to us. Not even a you’re welcome? Another example I have is last night I went to stop by with another friend of mine, before entering we noticed the security guard was dealing with a situation. I know they are supposed to check IDS but it was cold and he was clearly handling a situation with another customer. So we proceeded to run inside because again it was very cold outside and we didn’t have jackets. So we walk in the main entrance and the first thing Karlee says very rudely was “ I need to see your IDS” so I go to shower her mine and she rudely goes “ you need to show him and you guys already seem pretty drunk”. When the security was clearly busy. She basically was screaming it for the whole bar to hear which was not only embarrassing but I felt unfair. I do understand it’s there decision on serving me but to not serve me because you thought we were too drunk but we didn’t do anything and haven’t even said a word to her and because of the way we walked in we were “ too drunk” when really it was cold and the security guard was busy. She wouldn’t serve us before we had even said a word to her. Weren’t even in there for 30 seconds before she decided with out even talking to us or anything. Just because the way we walked in seemed weird somehow? Even security was confused and she said “ if you saw what I just saw outside” like what? We were running inside because it was cold. And from what I hear, many people have had issues with the...
Read moreSo My husband was craving a martini tonight so we decided to come to crown and common. We have only been here a handful of times since the remodel. Tonight we stopped in at 4:40 for a few drinks. To get a martini, you have to go to the “back bar”. We walked to the back bar and were “greeted” with the biggest attitude ever. The bartender with the long blonde hair and the nasty attitude can just go. She snapped at us that “she didn’t have ANYTHING set up in this bar to make a martini, I should be ready in 20 minutes “. It was aggressive and odd. I looked at the bar and everything was there, so what she needed to set up, I’m not sure. She easily could have gotten what she needed from the front bar to make a drink, or politely say you needed a bit more time. When you charge 8.00 a martini, you better serve it with a smile and a thank you- she made it clear that she didn’t want to serve us at all. We went to the front bar and ordered something else. The bartender in the front bar was super nice. He was mortified that the back bartender treated us like she did. He offered to make my husband a martini which was so nice, but we opted to finish our drinks and leave. We were the only customers in here and we could hear the back bartender slamming things around in the front bar while trying to get “set up”. When it was the standard, this place would be packed by 4:30. Perhaps it’s poor staff that is chasing away your good customers. The front bartender gets 5 stars, the back bartender gets negative stars. The bar was also nasty and sticky. I never saw anyone wipe it down. It definitely needs a good cleaning. I doubt my husband will be suggesting this place...
Read moreI have been going to this bar since it was Top Hat. Great martinis, great bartenders, great memories. Until it turned to Crown n Common. We have gone a few times since. The martinis don’t taste the same. Then tonight the inside was full so we sat at the bar on the other side. Bartender walked by me three times without a word or acknowledgment. Two bartenders and not many people on this side of the bar yet when I asked to have a martini he told me he will do it this time but if I wanted more I had to go inside to order. Part of the reason to sit at the bar is that you don’t have to go up to the bar to order. That is taking away my time with my friends. We asked for a refill and didn’t get it and I had an empty water cup for an hour and was never asked if I wanted a fill, 90 degrees out. Oh and the guy from the inside bar walked by us, noticed we were done with our food, turned around and asked us if we wanted a box. The two bartenders inside had more customers and were way nicer. I gave it two stars because the...
