This actually saddens me to write this. I have been going to this location for 2 years, I live right behind the white oak shopping center walking distance, several times / week and spend quite a bit of money there WEEKLY. Never had a problem with the staff, except one girl could be a little nicer but that's neither here nor there, over all a pleasant experience every time I go there. Except today @ 11:20am Thursday April 20, 2017. I went in and got some hot dog buns and hamburger buns and they were out of donuts except 12 chocolate glazed a half dozen sprinkled and like one cinnamon twist. I had went in for a dozen initially. My total came to $15 and I handed her a $50 bill and without skipping a beat said (Assistant Mgr)- "oh yeeeaaa...I can't take that." I said "Welp, that's all I got so you ladies have a nice day." Mind you they know who I am for I go several times /week I home school my oldest and this is a little thing him and I do here at home. When I got back to my house I called the Western Hills location, VERY NICE, and proceeded to tell her what had just happened. She advised me that it's company policy to spend a certain amount in order for them to take large bills, in my case I would have to of spent $5 more, which I would have been more than happy to do so. (I was breaking the $50 because that's alllll I have and my kids bowling league is tonight and he needs $8 and I am not sending a 10 yr old with a $50 bill! lol) Instead of professionally stating, "We would be more than happy to take your $50 but, you will need to spend $5 more dollars to meet company policy. ;)" she just said we can't take that.
Unfortunately, I will never return to Servatii's, and it's a shame because there are no other donut shops near by except Dunkin... I think? The Western Hills location gave me the number to corporate and I am going to have to file a complaint :( I would have been more than happy to pay the xtra $5 to complete the order but, was unprofessionally not given that option, instead shooed away. I hope that the issues with the White Oak location can be resolved for, I didn't know there were this many issues until I noticed the reviews. I guess what makes it worse, it was the Assistant Mgr. that acted so unprofessionally. Good luck with your...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreToday is my birthday. Although I received a beautiful appearing cake from this location as a surprise, the experience my friend went through while even placing the order ruined my taste for it. They told me how they really didnāt even receive proper customer service and how the woman who placed the order was highly unprofessional. What the staff didnāt know at first was that my friend never even been to this location before, but even after finding that information out after he told them the employee was still rude. On the day he came in he stated there was an older black woman (she received his payment) and an older white woman( she taken his order) The older white woman was elated to assist white patrons who came in and showed them an entire book on what to order and how to order, but when my friend stated that he never been in, wasnāt sure on what to exactly do responses werenāt even met with sincerity, the same treatment, was being rushed, and was asked if he wanted balloons on my cake. Iām 37, I donāt need balloons on a cake as if though Iām a child.
Another thing, the cake although it tasted decent also tastes like store brought cake and icing; that of the nature of Dunkin Hines and Betty Crocker. Do your job as a person working in retail. I worked in Samās club bakery and never treated anyone like that, I showed the book to everyone no matter their ethnicity or race and especially if it was their first time coming to the establishment. We wonāt be back and word of mouth gets around faster than advertisement.
Do better and be better overall. From the comments I seen the lack of professionalism and customer service isnāt new. And I know he told yāall there is a capital, āVā in my name as well. Iāve decorated desserts for years especially on cake; You did what you wanted to do, period. My friend was so close to just saying never mind as well in even getting anything from this company because of the energy and rude service he was receiving, but didnāt want to take things too personal. Well I have ..so here...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreCake, as always at Servatti's, is good. But displeased with one of the representatives because Starlina at 4:27 pm on Thursday March 7, at White Oak location asked if me if I had a handicap placard for my vehicle in front of the store outside. What does parking outside of the store have to do with sales and the baked goods inside of the store? I was highly disappointed and felt like racial discrimination. I bought my slice of cake. As I was asked about the handicap placard, I answered her question because I am in the service industry as well. I would have never asked that question to anyone, but I also do know the parking rules and regulations for the city, county, and stste as a young...
