We came on recommendation from locals at a tavern. Arrived to a very slow dine in crowd around 7pm on Saturday night, owner or manager was taking orders and let us know he'd be right with us. He than directed a young girl to wait on us who asked what we would like and than proceeded to look away as I began to place my order 🙄 First bad vibe, than she apologized and took my order. Family size pizza special w half anchovies WELL DONE specifically please make sure it is crispy!! and a calzone w meatball and sausage add Parmesan cheese. She couldn't figure out how to put in for anchovies on half and had to ask and I than was charged full price for anchovies on the entire pizza (not a big deal but odd) than she couldn't figure out how to make change when i gave her the exact amount of change but a $50 bill for a $45 and change order 😐 bad vibe #2. Than ten minutes later my girlfriend's calzone comes out!! Mind you they weren't super busy and we had placed this as a DINE IN order! Why wouldn't the calzone be delayed in being placed into the oven on the SAME ticket as it is much smaller and will cook quickly compared to a WELL DONE family size pizza 🤔 bad vibe #3. Than 10 minutes later the same young girl pulls my pizza out of the oven as the cook was nowhere in sight. She then stares at it blankly for 3-5 minutes before getting a girl that was preparing subs and ask her which side had the anchovies 😳 welllll I'm pretty sure the cook would have placed it in the oven a certain way to keep track but clearly did not communicate! They both stare at the now rapidly cooling pizza for another 3-5 minutes before making a team decision which side had the anchovies. Then she cuts it and stares at it some more before bringing it to our table so I can join my girlfriend in eating her now cool calzone 🤬 and tries to explain she's still not exactly sure which slices have anchovies on them BUT WAIT!! it gets better..... I look at the pizza only to see the cut of slices are not split down the middle of the anchovies line and now 2/3 of my pizza is mixed with anchovies and a good portion of those pieces have very little on them because of the improperly cut and separated topped pieces. The final straw was when I picked up a small outside triangle piece only to have it flop over like a limp you know what and my toppings slide off on a WELL DONE and more specifically "I'd like a crispy crust please" ordered pizza 🤯😕. My girlfriend's calzone was very skimpy on filling as well and was definitely nothing to write home about. Giorgio's pizza is as limp as their "well done" crust. Place is a joke. If this is the highest rated Pizza place in Greenfield I'd hate to try the rest!! We will however be trying out Village Pizza as that was also recommended and appeared much busier. In conclusion I would say the poorly trained and obviously unskilled staff and poor preparation of the food is a no win. Too bad I was excited to try them out. ...
Read moreI have tried pizza from every pizza shop in Greenfield over the years, and I was a devoted Village Pizza fan. But I wanted a change and revisited Georgio's for a pizza. First it's worth mentioning that they really are the only shop that has an attractive and comfortable dining area set up with all booths. Each could easily hold 6 adults or two adults and 4 kids. The owner and staff are extremely friendly, welcoming, and seem to sincerely appreciate your business. They offer a really nice variety of specialty pizzas and many options to create your own. The ingredients look and taste really fresh and the portions are very generous. Their sauce has just a hint of sweetness and their crust is simply excellent. They do have other lunch and dinner offerings that are sure to satisfy anyone... next visit I want to try their cheesy garlic bread. I really recommend giving Georgio's a try, it might just become your new favorite too. They also have plenty of their own parking in their lot, plus more along Main Street. Handicapped accessible too. GO! If you found this review helpful, please tap the thumbs up to let me...
Read moreHonestly, I'll never know if there food is good, because they are never really open. The first time I decided that I'd try them and give them a chance, was two years ago, and the sign said "Not sure when we'll be back". I thought, I'll try another time, a year later place was closed with no sign saying as to why, and burned me a bit more as I walked all the way from where I lived to. Today, as of writing this review, I thought I'd give them a shot again, as I looked online and it says their open, what a joke. I call the number and I'm told that they are taking three days off due to "summer vacation". I sorry, but that is the last straw for me. This place is never open, and honestly, I take that as a sign that the food must suck as well, seeing as no one wants to cook it. So in short, you lost a customer before you ever opened, if you ever are. DO...
