Over the last 8 months or so the speculation as to what the unreadable new blue & black sign in front of posada actually represented was varied , passengers who drove by the commercial space that features arrow car sales suggested it was a hobby shop, a dispensary and one suggested it was a hair cutters. I honestly had no clue its a 50 mph zone and theres no real reason unless one needs a quality used car , to stop. Then today new signage was visible with the magic words clearly displayed to anyone zooming by: TACOS!!! BURTITOS!!! What! It changed my whole schedule my new focus was trying the new taco joint! I chose to dine in but I took a burrito to go I really enjoyed the pork tacos the hottest sauce they had was chipotle and it did the trick it reminded me of the Mexican food I enjoyedIn the early 90s on New York City west side , it was like ranchero style i remember. The tacos were presented in a simple & tasty manner I can recommend them as I had them and i likedāem ! the place was clean and busy two good indicators , the take out flow was steady and the dine in was at full capacity. through the kitchen window I could see the chefs it seemed all of them wore hats no hair nets but hats are at least a show of effort! and I found no hair in my food ! it was good food too and I plan to go again and sample more of the simple yet inviting menu they offer drinks and Cerveza but I settled on a pineapple Jarrito soda. The service was good snd i really recommend posada if you like Mexicanos . Things i must try next enchiladas and the empanadas! If you do not like spicy food I beg you to not eat at this restaurant do not ruin it for all of us who enjoy the spices of life it is Salvadori and mexicanos and they use spices and seasoning if thatās not something you can enjoy there are plenty of Chiliās and Taco Bell that will cater to you. Good job posadaši hope you will stay consistent and grow! Graciasš
After note: I tried the Rico burrito i took it to go I reheated it at home & it was good too. Life is short...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreWe heard this Mexican/Salvadoran restaurant was good and it exceeded expectations. Even though there's a sign on the door stating they are understaffed and the place was obviously popular and jammed with people we were able to be seated immediately. The service was excellent and the food even better than hoped for. One couple both had the Steak Fajitas with tons of extras. My wife had Enchiladas Poblanos with Chicken and mole sauce with rice and beans. She loved it! Best mole sauce ever she said. I had the Enchiladas Chipotle which was rate 2 peppers and it was the perfect level of hot for me. The restaurant was clean and tastefully decorated with a second room with a small bar and more tables. We will be back again and again. I scanned a QR code to pay my bill though they mention that cash is appreciated. Went there for lunch today. My friend had a Verde Burrito Bowl and I had a veggie burrito with wheat flour tortilla. For dessert he had the pumpkin cheesecake and I had the tres keches cake - both made right there by Nancy and...
Ā Ā Ā Read more[Update: We have been here several more times and I enthusiastically add that 5th star. The mole on following occasions was excellent, the margaritas much better, and the sound system at the perfect volume. Highly recommended! ]
The food was quite good, and the kitchen produced attractive plates in record time, despite an impressive dinner rush. High points were the beef empanadas and fried plantain appetizers. Rice and beans were tasty, and the tacos Al Pastor worth ordering again. I look forward to trying the Carnitas nest time.
I really wanted to give a fifth star but the sauce on the enchiladas poblano was respectable but not stellar, the house margaritas were a bit on the weak side, and the sound system a bit loud the night we were there.
Best part of all is the location (right on Rt 2 in a restaurant desert), the prices (2 appetizers, 3 entrees, and 2 drinks for just $85 including tip in 2021), and the authenticity. This is not Tex-Max food; it is real Salvadoran and Mexican food. We will...
