Update: We are here again, and while the food was good, I wasn’t happy when we got home. Not only was the rice and sauce for one of our dishes not packed up with the rest of the leftovers, the shrimp dish we ordered to go had 2 fewer shrimp than the entree we got at dine-in. This sounds picky, but for a $13+ entree to be 1/5 less and without the rice to boot is a deliberate ripoff. And no, it wasn’t the appetizer size version - the price was the same as the entree we got at sit-down. Pack up your own food and check everything.
My boyfriend and I ate at Namaste this evening for the first time and were really pleased! Since it was our first time, we sampled several different dishes: Apps: Veggie Pakoras, Shrimp Manchurian Dinners: Lamb Korma, Palak Paneer, Chicken Tikka Kabob Other: Mango Lassi, Onion Kulcha
Everything was very tasty; the shrimp and chicken were tender and perfectly cooked, the pakoras were crispy but not too oily, and the sauces were nice and flavorful. The kulcha and the lassis were good, too. Our server was friendly, and helpful when we had questions, and the food came out quickly and hot. The one thing I was not expecting was the lack of heat in the dishes. I expected the paneer to be mild because that’s how we ordered it, but we ordered the lamb medium, and while incredibly flavorful (my favorite sauce, actually) I didn’t really detect hardly any heat at all.
They are currently in the midst of a reno, so expect your dinner to be served in to-go containers with paper plates and plastic cutlery if you dine in. Not a problem for us, since we took a good deal of food home, and voila! The food was already ready to take home! You can also order online and pick it up. Their new grand opening is set to be the beginning of April, so keep an eye out - we sure will, as we are definitely...

First of all I am from SE Asia and grew up eating this food. Namaste is a shameful experience when it comes to living up to the true taste and flavors of Indian and Nepali dishes.
We ordered Naan, Palak Paneer, Daal Makhani and Chicken 65.
The naan was the only thing decent rest of the food was complete travesty.
The palak paneer was creamy but that is where the adjectives end. The gravy was creamy in terms of consistency but true aroma and taste not there. The palak flavor was not there, it felt like made beforehand and they just warmed it up and put it in a box.
Daal Makhani was the worst! Felt like a mixed daal combination thrown together with salt and some random curry powder and then cooked until the daal became soft.
Chicken 65 felt like frozen nuggets being covered with sweet and sour curry sauce.
I am a genuine foodie and have eaten cuisines from around the world. I know how to cook curry dishes and I can tell when no effort was taken to prepare a meal and moreover the Oriental Label "Namaste" being used to deceive people who have never tried true Nepali and Indian dishes.
If a restaurant truly is authentic and tries its best to serve what it promises then I praise it but this experience was so bad that I wanted to warn people before wasting their...
Read moreThis Restaurant is BY FAR the BEST Indian food in the Greenfield/Brattleboro/Keene area. For too long this region has been lacking a quality Indian restaurant.
I consider myself a connoisseur of this cuisine and have dined in some of the best across Europe, Canada, US...not claiming to be some expert here, but lemme say that Namaste is worth the drive!
A few reasons why I love Namaste in Greenfield MA:
I ordered for pickup (during COVID-19) and enroute to the pickup received a call from the chef asking about my specific requests (I asked a particular dish to be made dairy-free).
The handoff of food was safe (masks worn & social distancing observed), orderly and super friendly.
The food was fresh - made to order and TOTALLY delicious. We had a large take-out order and they included some extra naan at no cost! was so pleased with the flavors. The Madras curry was authentic and out of this world.
For vegetarians & vegans, the veggies are not overcooked. You know that "baby food" texture that you sometimes get. Not here. I can't speak to the meat dishes, but I imagine the same level of care & attention to quality is offered.
Namaste is THE BEST. Please open up a location in...
