Carolina Crispy Chicken — Restaurant in Greensboro

Went for lunch yesterday for the first time after seeing coworkers bringing back some awesome looking food. I love looking for and finding those special small special places for food, especially some fried chicken!....and let me tell you, this place did not disappoint AT ALL. Do not let the "Gas Station" surrounding fool you, this place is a Jem. What was even better was the service, and the ladies working made it fun while we ate inside. They both talked and interacted with us and even had us sample a few of the sides we did not order.

I had a 3-piece dark with the Mac and Cheez and my buddy had the Tenders with the Mac and Potatoes and Gravy. They brought out samples of their Greens with Cabbage, which was excellent, however, their Yams were absolute Gold...hands down, just Darn GOOD!! This will make it very hard to choose the next time I go back. They have 4 high tops with condiments and napkins to have your food hot and fresh if you like or take it to go. All their food is homemade and not pre-breaded or ready-made, and they take pride in that, and IMO, you can tell this. If you are interested, they provide catering if you are having a larger gathering and would like some great home cooked food provided for your event without going through the trouble of doing it yourself.

I read a few of the reviews on here and was disappointed with some, however, we like what we like, and it's always a sample at that point in time. I don’t write reviews often due to the subjectivity however, the service and food were on-point and wanted to share, as finding hidden Jem’s like these are way better to visit and support instead of those Chains out there that sling subpar food, don’t pay attention to the quality and you’re treated like a number, that is not the case here...

The food and the service sucks here the people are rude the food is terrible the chicken was not crispy at all it wasn’t even hot and it was black in the middle . I took one bite and spit it right out. The only reason why I came in was because it smelled good from the outside,I guess that was a front. I just pray to God that I don’t get sick from eating in that nasty place. New management needs to take over that...

The chicken and sides are Ok but nothing special. Price is reasonable, service is good, portions are large. Chicken is kept on a steam table and nowhere close to crispy. Ok if you are in the area but not worth a...
