Coco Bongo International Bar & Grill — Restaurant in Greensboro

This place straight up tried hustling me. Im an American, Caucasian male and bilingual in English and Spanish. I ordered my food which came to $27 according to their menu prices. She came back and told me it was $38.. she went back behind the bar and huddled with the other waitresses and came back and told me the tacos just went up even though the menu had already been updated. Even after that i said ok, how much is this item, she said $9... 8 tacos @ $2.50 each and a $9 burrito do not equate $38+ tax.. she went back behind the bar again and at that point ignored me, so i left.. aside from that, the music is so loud you have to holler for them...

The food was pretty good. Authentic Mexican. The salsa for the nachos was really good and little spicy,which was a nice touch. The steak quesadilla was delicious and filling. And the gorditas were good as well. Food is fresh and made to order. One nice addition was that they have glass bottles of Coke and sprite made in Mexico. My only complaint was that service was a little slow,but the waitress was very friendly and helpful. I recommend this for authentic Mexican. I look forward...

This place is a SCAM. I ordered some pupusas that said 3 for $5, and when I went to pay, they said it was $4 PER PUPUSA????($12+) I had to argue with the hostess for them to pay me the difference because she said the menu was "outdated," and they NEVER mentioned that to me or my friends, causing us all of us to get overcharged. And by reading an older review, it seems like they pull this off constantly. If you don't speak Spanish, PLEASE...
