Ordered Steak & Cheese, Steak was SOUR! The meat was so bad, You could smell it through the paper, also the Bread was Dry & Hard.. I was so upset when I got home & opened my sandwich, I called to complain. I spoke w the same employee who took my order- He apologized, told me he would be happy to make me another sandwich & refund my money. This time I ordered Corned Beef. So, I drive all the way back to the restaurant. First of all; My sandwich is NOT made - So now I have to wait yet again for another sandwich to be made. Then he tells me his manager will refund my money, but she's outside taking a break. I wait patiently for her to come in from her break, she says nothing to me & immediately jumps on the phone without even acknowledging that I'm standing there. I wait about 10 minutes for her to get off the phone. At this time She is just standing there looking at me like, "Why are you still here" She was Beyond rude & also did not refund my money, did not apologize for selling me ROTTEN Meat & Did not offer me anything.. "Christina" needs more Training & should not be in a position of management AT ALL, I will be calling The Health Department 1st thing tomorrow morning.. & Believe me.. It is so NOT about the $12. I would not eat here again, even if it was FREE! On my way out another couple was coming in, I said " Please Don't order the Steak" the husband immediately replied.. "Ohhh I Know! I was just telling my wife the same thing" SO, I WILL NEVER SPEND ANOTHER DOLLAR IN THIS ESTABLISHMENT.....
Read moreThis was the first time I at at the particular Firehouse Subs. My favorite sub is the Spicy Cajun Chicken and I had a coupon from our local Attractions book that specifically excludes this store from taking the coupon. I decided to ask if they would honor it anyway. The person at the register read the coupon and properly declined to accept it so my guest and I paid full price for our meal.
When I paid, the person at the register didn't ask us if we wanted to round our payment up for the Firehouse Subs local charity. I was still on sticker shock because they didn't take the coupon so I didn't think about it myself or I would have certainly donated.
Our food was hot and delicious. The restaurant was clean and staff was courteous.
In the future it is UNLIKELY that I will return to this particular Firehouse Subs because they don't take the discounted coupons and there are others that will. I would personally rather support a restaurant who supports the fundraising efforts of the kids who sell the Attractions books. In my opinion, if you're want people to support your charity, then you should be charitable by accepting these coupons since the chain advertises in the book. If I remember correctly, this restaurant is an independently owned and operated franchise of...
Read moreIt was 90 degrees in the dining room this evening. I asked employees on duty how long have they been working without A/C and they said "3 weeks." They don't even have a freaking fan to cool them off.
Whichever manager is responsible for maintaining a comfortable work environment needs to be fired immediately. The owner of the business should be on the phone until he has a repairman at the store -- call all over Greensboro, High Point, Asheboro, Burlington until you find someone to fix the freaking A/C. Pay your employees time and half for the 3 weeks they've been without A/C and continue paying them extra time and a half until it's finally fixed.
How dare you make your employees suffer in 90+ degree temps? How dare you make your customer suffer inside with those temps? Get all the managers in there for full 8 hour shifts at over 90 degrees -- make them suffer through it. And I suspect the cold tables are likely not able to hold temps at a safe temperature in that...
