I am a hotel housekeeper, so I'm pretty picky about my hotel/ hotel rooms. That being said, our room was not vacuumed, and I'm pretty sure the bedding on the bed closest to the window was not changed out from the previous guest. How do I know this? There was a shopping bag ( not ours!) sitting next to that bed, it would have been kicked by the person changing the sheets, therefore the bag would not have been left there. The breakfast at this hotel was the WORST breakfast I've EVER had at any hotel! We went down at 9:00 and the only thing to eat for a main course was cereals! After 15 mins. she then brought out 4 quiche for a room full of people, which I was able to grab one quick before they were all snatched up by everyone else looking for sustenance! If you don't want to work, quit! The breakfast attendant then went around to everyone in the breakfast area telling them breakfast was over in 5 mins. Basically telling everyone to hurry up and get out. Breakfast is only open 2 hours everyday, the shortest breakfast at any hotel in America. Before I checked in I messaged the hotel and asked if they/i could type in my credit card numbers when checking in, because I forgot my credit card that I wanted to use ( I had pictures of it on my phone). This card has specific travel rewards and that's why I needed to use this card. The hotel messaged back and said yes I could. I was very happy they could do this for me. BUT, once I got to the hotel they would not honor this request and they said I had to swipe my credit card, they could not manually enter my credit card numbers! How can there be no option what-so-ever to manually enter credit card numbers? What if a person's card won't read? Do you tell them to get lost because they can't pay? So on top of everything else they lied to me! I will not stay at this...
Read moreMy husband and i travel a lot for work and we have had some great experiences with other Marriott properties however the General Manager at this property is one of the rudest we have encountered and im not sure if it was because of color or the fact that we are normally on a discount form( the same form she would have to use if she traveled)The front desk staff was always pleasant when speaking with them but if there was something that we needed to speak with her about it was always short rude responses. We are Titanium members with Marriott and they instructed us to contact her concerning a problem we had and she told my husband to contact Marriott and hung up. As a previous Marriott employee of 7 myself ive never seen a GM treat and talk to guest the way the Gm Susan has talked with us several times . She did make it clear that they are privately owned. I’ve never been on a property where my husband and myself both felt discriminated against. We have stayed at several luxury hotels and has never had an issue and always have been treated with the up most respect! Not here..and Not to mention something was stolen out of our room and they never got to the bottom of it i was only told her staff doesn’t steal . The whole property is sketchy our first night the fire alarm was pulled and we had to stand outside only to find out a homeless person came in and pulled the alarm. Also right across the fence is always a lot of people standing out making noise all times of the night! I would recommend Courtyard , Sheraton or Residence inn when traveling to the Greensboro area. Especially if you are of an ethnic background I don’t think she care for...
Read moreTo start: Thanks to Ashanti for being an amazing employee and explaining in detail what was the actual protocol in this scenario. The room was absolutely perfect, and I had a pretty nice view. You can also use streaming services on the TV’s, great addition!!! Truly, this room was so comfortable and spacious.
The sole reason I am deducting two stars is because of the manager, Susan. Book, interact with, speak with anyone except Susan. Susan thought it was okay to racially profile and attempt to double charge me for a room that was already booked and paid for, with my name listed as a key holder on it. I’m not sure where in your training there had to be “the authorized cardholder present to verify that I was supposed to be a key holder for the room” as well. Let me be abundantly clear in saying this, do not ever in your life try to insinuate or assume I was attempting fraud, ever again. Let alone saying that in front of other customers? I will not deduce this to simply “having a bad day”. What she did was absolutely humiliating, and as someone who had just traveled 6.5 hours just to be told I am not allowed to check in (despite having a valid ID to verify I was the person added as an approved key holder for the room)… extremely poor and quite frankly appalling service.
Book and speak with anyone except Susan, they’re all extremely knowledgeable and helpful attendants & are happy to resolve any issues with your room, keys, etc. The janitorial staff is also really...
