Follow up to follow up! I decided to spend some time out in their parking lot. I placed an order knowing I wouldn't get it, but I felt it due as I am in their parking lot eating Cook Out food, which is always hot and delicious. Not to mention you will actually get your food within 30 minutes from cook out. Anyway, I am not someone who wants to talk down on anyone about anything, and I know first hand what it is like to work in fast food. Regardless, there are still boundaries even the shortest of staffs take and I am willing to always give it another go. It has since become an epidemic with this store. I watched countless people pull up to the drive thru and wait at the speaker, hollering and swearing. Nobody helped anybody at either drive thru speaker for the duration I sat here, about 30 minutes. I went thru the drive thru, but drove up to the back window and politely asked for my food. In addition, I gave a five dollar tip in advance. The 4 single hamburgers and 1 fry were completely dead, dry, burnt buns, cheese was remelted 3 times, so I immediately thru the product away. In additition, I found what appeared to be a human by product, most likely some form of spittle on the fries. Great to be white in the south, I will be the first to tell you right! So now my food is in the parking lot. I decided I paid for their trash man to pick it up since I got nothing out of my $15 dollar investment (nor would you, in fact, I am willing to bet you would have called the McD corporation! or the local Tv)
Suddenly, a very loud car of partying young black kids ripped around the parking lot. They went for the 2nd window. The girls there pointed to the last window. They drove to it and received 4 bags of food, and a crapload of drinks. After socializing for about 5 minutes they left. That was the only service I saw throughout the night.
There are literally hundreds of complaints during the evening shifts (assumably due to lacking leadership). Reviews and complaints fall on deaf ears and obviously deep pockets. If it were my investment, I would have shut the place down when this started over 2 years ago. Since its still open, you can expect to get overcooked, dry, often times inedible food at your expense. Do not use the drive thrus after 7pm, with the singular exception that you are black and you know someone in the crew. If that is the case, you will know which window to go to to order (they do not take orders at the menu in the back for drive thru customers). In addition, there will not be signs anywhere telling you what, if any other issues are occurring at the time of your order.
FOLLOW UP REPORT 6 MONTHS LATER OMG! NO! JUST NO!! not even going to waste one more second on this place. It looks like they should let corporate close this place down. Hmmm. I wonder how corporate would feel if I wrote to them, just so I could get an $8 Big Mac before the world ends?
Curb side 6 at 6:21pm. I activated curbside order at 6:21pm at 6:47p I went in to pick up my order. It was cold of course. There were 5 workers moving the drive thru quickly. One man sat in the pickup window for over 10 minutes. Nobody would help me, so I announced it had been 30 min, can I get my order? The girl told me that I didn't activate when I arrived, even though the app and the order sitting in the hotlight area was timed 25 minutes earlier. They said the frozen drink machine was down (whats new for a McDonalds, right), so I told her to give me a cup. She looked at me like I was definitely white, which I am. 3 people getting paid to watch the other 2 work. But, even with that odd against me, I only blame the franchisee and manager, neither there of course. I won't be back to this McDonalds. This wasn't my first rodeo with this place. It happens to be 1 minute from my house so I accept the pathetically bad service in favor of convenience. In hindsight, I would have already gone to the store, bought the supplies and had it ready for my family with 5 minutes to spare. Wish I could put zero...
Read moreTL/DR: hit or miss for portions/equal spread of sandwich toppings, always taste like McDonald’s, usually a hit on staff friendliness.
This McDonald’s is a hit or a miss.
Firstly, the food. It’s exactly what it is, McDonald’s. The same taste you get at any McDonalds. I’ve been disappointed recently with their fry servings. I have been consistently getting fries that don’t come past the lower edge of the fry box. I usually get a large fry and I genuinely think it would fit in a medium box well if I poured it into one. The sandwiches are good but inconsistent. Sometimes I get a lot of lettuce, sometimes a tiny sprinkle, sometimes I get two normal tomatoes, sometimes I get two micro tomatoes, sometimes I get one large tomato, sometimes I get enough mayonnaise to spread over the bun, sometimes I get enough mayonnaise for an ants ham and cheese. Hit or miss.
The staff, Again, hit or miss. I’ve met very friendly employees, I’ve met employees just existing doing their job, and a few rude employees. Generally though, they’re not rude so I won’t count off a star for that.
Overall, I’ve only ever gone through the drive-thru. The service is usually fairly quick. I wish the fries were more consistent in sizes. I wish the sandwiches were more consistent in the various topping amounts. With rising prices it’s getting harder and harder to justify...
Read moreI am writing to let this location know what a great asset they have working here this morning (12/15). His name is Darnell. I do not have my receipt in hand so I can't give you exact times (7:20 - 7:30), but when I pulled up to the drive-thru ordering station, a very pleasant young man's voice came over the intercom. He was extremely professional, spoke very calmly and politely and provided the best drive-thru intercom service I have experienced in a long time. I'm talking about years, people. I would like to have complimented him directly, but he was not at either window when I paid and picked up my soda. That is all I purchased - 1 large Coca-Cola. In my youth (1986 - 1988) I worked at a fast food establishment back home. When customer service actually meant something and fast food team members truly cared about their customers.
In the past decade, and longer, the public has come to expect rude, unfriendly, brusk interactions when dealing with fast food establishments. That is a shame and we, as the consumers, should not have let it get this bad. Least of all, expect it. We have to take responsibility for not demanding better.
That is why I am taking the time to write this review. Please recognize Darnell and tell him I said "Thank You" for making my Friday morning very pleasant and for helping me to start the day on a...
