I came here to dine in for lunch. I ordered the daily special (teriyaki shrimp) and the spicy calamari With a sweet tea. The waiter asked if I wanted lemon in my tea. I said yes. Tea came back with no lemon. Alright no big deal. I ordered my food. Where I was sitting I could see directly to the kitchen. My food had come up and my waiter was no where to be found. My food was sitting in the wi Dow waiting to be picked up for awhile. When it arrived I ate some veggies and one forkful of rice. I picked up a second forkful and a strand of hair came up with it. I immediately attempted to get someone's attention. They are not particularly attentive to the floor if they are not actively serving someone. So I finally got someone over. Showed her the hair and she took the plate away and said they would re make it. I told her I needed it to because I wouldn't have time to eat. When she took it to the back she showed the cook and they were laughing about the piece of hair. When my new food finally came back they brought the check and I was amazed that they had fully charged for the meal. I was not looking for a free meal however for the inconvenience they could have at least comp'd the $2 drink. I didn't say anything I just paid my tab and left. Overall the food is really fresh and tasty but the customer service...

The food was decent. I have had both better and worse sushi. It definitely seemed fresh, so that wsnt the issue - it just wasn't to my taste as much as other places. That is completely subjective however so I do not hold that against the establishment. What I do think could be done better is the service in general. Our server was very sweet, but she only checked in on us after we finished and were waiting for the bill. Our food and drinks were brought by someone else and we were not the only ones. Many tables could be heard complaining about not being served and having to wait exceptionally long for both the drink order to be taken and for the bill to be brought. It seemed like they had no organization of their tables as we were told to just "sit anywhere" and we couldn't tell a certain server with a certain section. Our server also gave us the wrong check for another table. Lastly, the individual I was with usually orders off of the kids menu because they don't usually eat a lot nor do they like a lot of different foods. The possible manager brought that to us and I swear I could feel the judgment from her as it was so palpable! They could certainly do better for the prices...

This place makes good sushi indeed. I have consistently been a loyalist since they were located in west market . Sushi still good but I do have to say that they have raised their prices quite considerably and sadly enough the size of their rolls has become smaller and smaller over time. Almost 23 dollars for a roll that although it has ten pieces the pieces are cut so small and the fish so thin that is just brutal to justify. I have often thought about changing to another great spot in town that I won’t name because this is not about who’s better and after tonight, I won’t look back. I know prices have gone up all around us and I do understand some price mark ups , a sushi roll for a price of an entree , that I would happily pay if it was a fair price for the serving …. But this is just not. Tasty but very small cuts on the roll and fish cut so thin it almost feels like your being taken advantage of. We are all about saving a buck but you cannot charge this prices and not be fair to...

Todays visit was my second visit to this restaurant. My first experience, I didn’t want to do a disservice as it was super busy and my waitress was new (it was her first day) so I decided to give them another chance. This go round I ordered the combo of teriyaki chicken and steak with veggies and fried rice. This combo comes with a soup OR salad but I asked for both. The teriyaki chicken was was very tender, juicy and portioned well. The steak was also cooked to perfection from my request but there wasn’t as much steak as there was chicken but I wasn’t upset about it. Now the fried rice was not what I was expecting. There were no veggies or anything in the rice, just rice with soy sauce and more black pepper than I would like. The miso soup was my absolute least favorite and the salad with ginger dressing was okay ( I’ve had better BUT it was fresh). They also give really large portions of food so definitely had enough for two eatings

This place just opened up and I believe that they are still working through some issues. I only gave three stars because kitchen was backed up and it took a little while to get our food. We were there on a Friday night and business was just starting to pick up. The food was great and service was friendly and apologetic. The wife and I got a couple of rolls and the kids got chicken tereaki and some sort of noodles with fried tofu. They brought us some soup because of our wait and it was tasty too. There are lots of items to choose from on the menu. We will wait a little while before returning so that they can work out those issues. I will hopefully change my rating after that. We have been back several times since our initial visit and everything has been fine. I only raised my rating from 3 to 4 because I have not visited the restroom yet. I always reserve one star for restroom evaluations
