This was perhaps the single worst restaurant experience I've ever had. Came in for a carryout order, and waited approx 30 minutes for two bowls of soup. I ordered the Caldo de Res soup, which says it's served with "fresh vegetables." I asked the server - specifically - if it has onions. He said no, no onions, only vegetable. I also ordered a large, since it looked like the menu offers two sizes for soups - small ($5.99) and large ($7.99). After around 30 min, my order came out. They charged me $15.99 for the Caldo de Res. I asked the server why it was so expensive and even showed him the menu (photo attached), and he said that the prices listed were for the chicken soup only - not the other two. How was I supposed to know that, much less what the actual price was?? I asked another server when I checked out and they said the same thing, with no explanation from either server of how I was supposed to know how much this item costs. I was also told that it only came in large, not in other sizes, which I was not told when I requested a large. Took the soup home and there were no "fresh vegetables" - only giant hunks of carrot, and LOADS of onions (those were the only "fresh vegetables") - what I specifically asked about and was specifically told it did not contain. The meat was the fattiest chunks of garbage I've ever seen at a restaurant. It was basically inedible. We ended up throwing the whole thing out. $16 absolutely wasted. I don't think the servers knew anything about this item or how it was priced, since the menu is so non-specific or misleading. We've eaten here before and had good meals. My wife has had good experiences and meals. But I will not be going back - not after all of this and not one apology for the wait or for the pricing issue, and then all the garbage (that's what it looked like - leftover cuts and such from the kitchen) that was served as a meal. Awful. An inexcusable fail all...
Read moreSorry, this is not the Corona restaurant we loved before Covid and the tornado hit. It has reopened under Coronita's after the remodel. The service was great, as far as our waiter, but the service was very slow, and it was only 5:30 pm. The kitchen was in the weeds. There were 3 of us. 2 combo's and mine. My wife's combo came out almost 15 minutes before the other 2. Our waiter apologized and promised the other 2 would be out shortly. Well 15 minutes later the other 2 came out. The waiter asked my wife is she wanted to have her order remade. She said no. How long would that have taken? We were on a tight schedule. I always ordered the Quesadilla Supreme with grilled Steak. I always loved this. Well this is not what I was served. It was sliced beef of some sort. Not steak or grilled. Very bland. As well as all the combos that were ordered. It was a very mediocre meal. Almost tasteless all the way around. And the salsa was very watery, and not much difference between the 2 as far as mild or hot. Sorry but we will not be back! Way to many better options out there. This was a waste of money. And its...
Read moreWaiter gave me the wrong password for the WiFi, told me to leave the booth and go to the bar to get the password, and he put his hands on me. They charge their customers an extra fee for using a credit card. Food was good. Plenty of parking.
I asked the waiter for the WiFi password, he didn't know. So he went to get the password.
He came back with a password that didn't work.
Then he told me to leave the booth and go to the bar for the password. I did not. You don't tell customers to leave the booth to get the WiFi password.
He went to get the password again and came back with the correct password.
He put his hand on my shoulder and asked if it worked. I said yes. You don't put hands on the customer.
He gave me the check but didn't say how to pay it - waiters should always tell the customer how to pay, i.e., "I'll take it when you're ready", or "Please pay at the front on your way out", etc.
They charge their customers an extra fee for using a credit card, which I believe to...
