I have eaten here several times and enjoyed the meal. Today, I went there about 2:30 with a caucasian friend and the service was horrible. The manager passed our table with both of us sitting there and asked if she would like to refill her beverage and never asked if I would like a refill. It was as though he did not see me sitting beside her. Shortly thereafter, I motioned for a female waiter who made eye contact with me and ignored my calling her to ask for a refill. As soon ad my friend called her, she came running over to see what she wanted. Rather than make a scene I gave my friend the money to pay for my meal and I left. Because of the way I was ignored, I will never step foot in Cubbies again. Being a black female does not change the value of my green dollar and should never give management the right to deem this behavior normal. Your business is operating because people of all races pay their hard earned money for a service. Cheesesteak was good but I was unaware this was a cash only resturant. They have a ATM in the wall that doesn't read chip cards very well & doesn't print receipts. It also charges you $2.00 They claimed their Google mentions the cash only requirement but it's not up here. They only have a small sign on the door below the push handle that you do not see when you walk in. It basically went from a nice warm family setting with my mom & I then just embarrassing because the ATM kept spitting out our cards. Will we come again? Probably never again lol. Food was good but it's 2022- they are not convient to pay. Maybe they don't want alot of business. As a Business Advisor for a international Marketing company, this was a ridiculous experience. I would love to get this company some software to help them accept all forms of payments, table reservations, & even allow them to accept virtual tips. I may be back to visit to pitch a sale...
