Friday was the last workday before my university's Winter Break, so I was wanting to surprise the office with some of Duck's special donuts. I was actually confused to find only one other customer in the lobby when I entered, yet the three ladies behind the counter were furiously at work. Once I took the time to observe (and eavesdrop) it dawned on me that, in spite of just two customers physically there in the building, they were being slammed... with online orders! That knowledge put my experience into its proper perspective, and I adjusted my interactions accordingly. Rather than thinking I had just waltzed into the building to the front of the line, I imagined the line was actually flowing out onto the sidewalk and there was going to be a wait. But, the wait for a Duck Donut is worth it no matter how 'short' the line in the lobby may be. 😁 **An electronic 'menu board' that has all the orders (both in person and online) graphically represented over a floorplan of the building and parking lot could quickly convey how busy a shop is at any given moment and where each customer truely is in...
Read moreI would give 5 star IF they get rid of Ron and his nasty ATTITUDE. Twice I been there and TWICE he gives an attitude when asking about the menu. First time, my wife asked if she could substitute a topping and he balled his face, rolled his eyes got loud with an attitude, I explained it was our first time there and it was a simple question. Tonight I walked in, ordered a donut, Ron asks what type of glaze, I asked what flavors you got, Ron grabbed the menu slammed it on the counter and pointed, he then placed both arms on counter and staired at me like I got 7 heads with a nasty look. I gave him a piece of my mind a walked out, I was going to order a dozen, no thanks I take my business elsewhere. While walking out, Ron realized he lost money and realized that he was in the wrong and said, donuts on me, I don’t need handouts, I will pay for what I want, BUT I expect good customer service. As long as Rons there, me, my family, my friends, my businesses, my clients WILL never go...
Read moreHonestly the WORST service I've ever received. I can't even comment of the actual donuts because I had to cancel my order before getting them. I ordered 3 donuts and a coffee and after 30+ minutes of waiting, my child fell and got hurt IN THE RESTAURANT and we had to leave. My husband went back to get a refund and was told NO by one of the employees. Finally another employee came over and processed the refund. One of the employees yelled at me and said "I can't cancel your order if I don't know what your order is!!". The way the whole situation was handled was completely ridiculous and unprofessional. They need more workers and a strong lesson in customer service! If management reads this, I hope you explain to your employees how to treat customers. Im sure most employees are college students. And they'll never make it in a career acting that way! VERY disappointed in my first ever experience at Duck Donuts. I will...
