Don's Pizza — Restaurant in Greenville

During our initial visit to Don's Pizza, coinciding with our trip to the Darke County Fair, we encountered some notable aspects. We arrived at the restaurant and were informed that the dining room would be closing in an hour. Additionally, we were advised against ordering pasta due to a 30-minute preparation time. While placing our order, we overheard a staff member exclaiming, "I'm done! Cut it off!", which did not contribute positively to our sense of welcome. Despite this, we opted to stay as our children were already seated.

One redeeming feature was the ambiance, which I personally found appealing. The restaurant maintained a clean environment, but the overall sense of friendliness was lacking.

Regarding the food, our order consisted of an 18" pizza with pepperoni as the sole topping, along with a serving of cheesy bread as an appetizer. The pizza reached our table nearly 40 minutes after placing the order. The pizza had a thin crust, which I prefer, and it appeared to be adequately cooked. Regrettably, the positive attributes ended there. The pizza's flavor fell short, with the sauce lacking in taste. The cheesy bread arrived with cold nacho cheese sauce and a side of pizza sauce, both of which were notably plain.

Ordered pizza at 6:37pm on 4-6-19 50 dollar order. So at 7:50 called back to see how much longer on the order. They asked the name we gave them every name in the house and they had no idea of the order. So we had to describe the order to them. Well we get oh yeah it's just going in the oven. Well from my experience means they lost our order. So wife asked does this mean I get a discount. Lady says I'll ask the manager and hung up. So at 8:16 order shows up no discount ok well bite in pizza mushrooms on the deluxe. And no garlic butter sauce either so call back ask to speak to manager and get female on phone you can talk to me and she said we already ran your card we cant give a discount so almost 2 hours for food not done right . So first time at Don's pizza and will be the last hope you enjoy the bad service because bad service make food quality go down. Only reason for 2 stars is there customer service it very bad. We walk in to this place for the first time ever, and no one said one word for about 5 mins after we were there. There was a waitress sitting at one of the tables counting something, but she never even looked up at us until a nice lady from the kithen area came out to help us. We were going to dine in but after th, t we decided to take it to go. On the other hand, the pizza was very go, d but we ordered extra cheese on the pizza that i ordered and paid extra for.
