This place! Wow! From the moment I stepped in the door, I knew this place was a gem! I was greeted by three different staff members, all who work so well together. Nothing but kindness out of all of them! The atmosphere is such a “moody” vibe- a good moody!!! Yellow tinted lights and darker color scheme provide a relaxing feel. I was there early morning while it was still dark, and I just didn’t want to leave! It felt so calming! Don’t be turned off by the darker color scheme, lot of coffee and fun themed decor. Plenty of seating options including a hand full of tables, a few bar seats, and a couch/bench. Would be a wonderful spot to catch up with a friend! They have a selection of pastries, coffees, teas, smoothies, and sippers (soda with your choice of syrup flavoring). We got a coffee and a tea, both of which were great! I could tell from the teabag that it was a higher quality product than what other locations serve. Also, I love who this shop is supporting by getting their beans from a local roaster who supports a women owned farm in Guatemala!
Love everything about this place!...
Read moreOne more thing about Morning Glow. . . Its restroom is spotless! It's probably the cleanest restroom that is open to the public that I've ever been in. This sounds like TMI, but ever little touch makes a difference!
Stopped in at Morning Glow this afternoon. My wife and I are from the Grand Rapids Metro and visit coffee shops throughout the city of Grand Rapids often. So, I say this with some experience, that Morning Glow is one of our top coffee haunts now. The father/daughter team running the shop are friendly & personable, the atmosphere is exceptional - and the coffee. . . It's my new favorite! They source it locally! I love my Madcap, Sparrow & Herman's Boy, but their coffee, "Tove" (sp?), is the best!!! I look forward to stopping there, again, when we are next...
Read moreFirst time in the place with my family. First impression, it's super cute. However, it was a bit chaotic. Not the best for groups and definitely don't recommend bringing children. The tables are a bit tight together that we couldn't get to some of the seats. My child was checking out some cool rocks that were on a table and got yelled at. Obviously in a busy coffee shop things can get stressful, but I don't appreciate an adult yelling at my child (very loudly) instead of letting me know there's a problem. I rarely go to coffee shops, I was excited to check this place out and was bummed. The...
