Jamaica and the Caribbean culture are so commercialized that it is no longer recognizable. This Jamaican restaurant that "use to" have Jamaicans in NC and now their Oxitail is trash; no sauce, barely any seasonings, and it taste like it was boiled in water and they serve less oxtail compare to the old management for the megameal for almost $30. Their curry chicken is garbage. It tastes like plain chicken broth with watery curry for the yellow color. Their jerk chicken over seasoned, I couldn't taste the chicken, no harmony in the flavors whatsoever. Lucky for me I got my money back through DoorDash, but they should be ashamed of themselves for serving inedible food and using Jamaica as a selling point. I'm not a cook and I can make more decent curry than them. Hell, the Indian and East Asian restaurants in the same town make better curry than them. But they don't care because it is not their food, and it doesn't hurt their culture. This Google review is a compilation from past to present orders, and I am feed up. I order the brown stew chicken yesterday and made a complain on Door dash about the quality of the food because NOW the brown stew chicken sauce tasted watered down with little to no spice and the cheese in the Mac & Cheese tasted spoiled due to a sour after taste. I had order from DD for drop off so how are they my friends? I use to order from you for only the oxtails. Starting November 2021 I noticed the drastic change in the food quality made my complaints on DD and passed it off as maybe a bad batch. I had received a refund for my meal December 8th and I received a voucher which I redeemed December 20th. Also I have received a refund for my meal March 2. Since last year I stuck mostly to the prepackaged items such as the rum cakes, patties and drinks to get a familiar taste of home. I sporadicity will try a meal once in a while and the quality seem to get worst from see above to mushy rice and peas. The only cooked things worth spending money on which I have tried is the yams and plantains. I did a pick up order once February 9th to see who was serving my food I saw that they were not Jamaicans. I will apologized for assuming management had changed, but "who" cooks the food and have you tasted it? If you ate the food and think to yourself this taste like good quality Caribbean food you should be ashamed of yourself. This is not about only serving size, my one star is for the consistent "dropping" in quality of each meal along with getting less of the oxtail for the same expensive price.

Asked for a beef patty with mozzarella cheese The lady said we have mozzarella but then I get a burned beef patty with American cheese. Then when I come to try to exchange for something of equivalent price the Arabic lady throws a plain beef patty in my bag then waves me off like I’m pissing her off. Y’all got my little order wrong so it should be an apology and try to fix the situation. A real Jamaican know damn well we don’t eat no American cheese inna burnt patty smh. I don’t under how you can say this review sounds racist. I said nothing racist. If it was a white lady as a cashier who did the same thing I’d say the Caucasian lady, black person id say the blk lady. Nothing racist about pointing out the description of your worker and the fact that instead fixing the solution because I never asked for American cheese. I asked for mozzarella and she said yall have mozzarella when yall don’t sell mozzarella should’ve been said. Instead she kept saying yes we have it then got mad when I wanted to change my order. Me saying the Arabic lady was not racist at being that she was indeed Arabic and didn’t understand what I asked for. This is why your company will fail. All of your reviews are distinctly to argue with possible returning customers. Never to fix the situation. The ones where you do try to rectify the situation the are of other race.
