I want to start by saying that I already set the bar very low when it comes to fast food restaurants and their staff. Yet somehow, this place managed to fall spectacularly below even my most minimal expectations. My visit was not just disappointing — it was downright alarming from a health and safety standpoint.
The problems began the moment I stepped inside to pick up my mobile order. Another customer immediately warned me she had found small insects floating in her Mtn Dew. I watched as she brought this disgusting discovery straight to who I assume was the manager, even showing him the bugs in her cup. Shockingly, his only response was to pour her a new drink from a different machine. No inspection of the equipment, no shutting it down, not even a hint of urgency or concern that multiple customers could be consuming contaminated beverages. For all I know, someone is sipping on bug-infested soda right now because management simply didn’t care enough to investigate.
As if that weren’t enough, I then stood there for over 7 minutes completely ignored before anyone even acknowledged me. When I finally gave my order information, I was forced to wait another 20 minutes only for them to realize my food had been sitting there the entire time, mislabeled and growing cold. No apology, no offer to remake it, no acknowledgment of the outrageous wait for an order I had placed well in advance.
Adding insult to injury, when I finally left — frustrated, behind schedule, and thoroughly disgusted — I discovered that not only was my food ice cold, but it was also incorrectly prepared.
The sheer incompetence and lack of basic hygiene on display at this location is staggering. Someone needs to step in and ensure these employees properly clean and sanitize their drink machines and ice bins before customers end up seriously ill. Management here clearly has no interest in protecting the public or upholding even the bare minimum standards.
The only bright spot was a middle-aged Black woman with dreadlocks who at least tried to push her coworkers to assist me. If there’s any hope left for this establishment, it’s thanks to her. I did not get her name but She deserves a promotion for single-handedly trying to salvage what’s left of your reputation.
I’d give this place 0 Stars if it were an option and I will tell anyone who will listen to avoid this business at all costs. This store gives the franchise a horrible name and a terrible representation.
My advice to anyone who reads this: If you want Taco Bell, Just drive to Arlington or 10th Street and save yourself a headache and potentially a trip...
Read moreI ordered 2 combos at the drive-thru and paid extra to add steak to both. When I got home I found that both combos were missing the steak. The additional charge for adding steak was clearly printed under both combos along with the word STEAK on the drive-thru order screen. I paid with a card and assumed the receipt was in the bag but upon inspection there was no receipt. I called the restaurant and the manager told me to come back tomorrow and vaguely stated "they would make it right". Went back the next day and they replaced my entire order which I was not expecting. They were very professional and apologized for the inconvenience. I was happy they corrected the mistake and to me that was the end of it. When I got home however, I found the exact same issue as before. Paid for steak on three items and only got it on two. I guess that's an improvement because the original order only had steak on one out of three. [Insert Sarcastic Face Emoji]
The burrito I received as part of a combo was supposed to be without beans. It was, but it was terrible and one of the saddest looking things I have ever seen. Without the bean filler It was roughly 95% flour shell with about 5% contents consisting of about one teaspoon of a beef like substance and maybe one and a half teaspoons of cheese. I felt like buying that burrito a sympathy card from Hallmark. It was that sad and pitiful.
Needless to say I will not be returning to the Taco Bell in Winterville ANY time soon. Who knew reading and comprehending an order screen was...
Read moreOver time, this taco bell has been going downhill. They used to be the best taco bell in Greenville, IMO. This last encounter with them today is the last encounter we will ever have with this location.
Today, we ordered a power bowl, 2 bean burritos, 2 tacos, and 2 fiesta potatoes.
The tacos were crushed (which has happened two other times before at this location). They tasted good but had to be eaten in a bowl. They were placed on the bottom of the bag, under the burritos and the potatoes.
The power bowl was put into the bottom portion of the plastic container it usually comes in and shoved into a 5 dollar deal box. They did NOT put the top of the plastic lid on the power bowl and some of the power bowl wound up on the lid.
The rice in the power bowl was crunchy in some spots and the chicken was extra dry. The sauce they gave us had to be used to give it a better flavor.
Speaking of the sauce. We asked for diablo and hot. They gave us a handful of mild. This has happened most every time we have asked for hotsauce at this location.
The bean burritos were inedible. they tasted how moldy smells, for lack of a better explanation. They were disgusting and were thrown out.
The fiesta potatoes were okay.
As of late, it's hit or miss if you will have a good or bad experience at this taco bell. It's not worth wasting your time or your money here.
I'm adding photos. Two are crushed tacos from two different visits. The other two are good experience photos from this past weekend of a steak...
