Howard's On Main — Restaurant in Greenwood

I'm giving it five stars because Howard is amazing, the food is really good, and the employees are all kind. Just beware of the regulars. The regulars control everything. They have certain seats they sit in, and you're not welcome to sit in them. They bully people for being different from them. If you dress differently or have a different personality from them, they will be rude and nasty to you. I've been bullied there one too many times. I had the last straw when they randomly tried to embarrass me in front of a friend who was visiting from out of town. Telling me they want to punch me in the face because I talk about my dating life too much. 🤷‍♀️ I no longer feel safe there when I just mind my own business and be me. I've been attacked there and threatened by them, when I don't even know them. There are other bars where the regulars are nice. I'm bummed about the decision I'm making but in the end, it's not worth damaging my mental state further by continuing to be bullied for just being myself. Others have also had the same problem with the same regular customers. It's not just me. The regulars aren't held accountable for their mean actions. They have free reign. I went there for lunch and have to say all the way around I was not at all impressed by the food nor the staff. The girl who took our order was rude and then when we went to sit down the table was dirty and the food was not good at all. Then I watched the girl at the front come and clean up the tables and spray the cleaner on the table without removing the salt and pepper meaning that the chemicals went inside it. We then smelled our salt and pepper and it smelt like straight chemicals. I was also given the wrong drink order and the burger that we ordered tasted like something was wrong with it. My kids and I headed to Greenwood, from Irmo, to take our rabbit to the vet. The ladies at the vet recommended Howard’s on Main to us for lunch. I loved the sandwich and pasta that I ordered and the girls had yummy chicken tenders and awesome fries and chips and dip and a grilled cheese sandwich! Everything was very good and the service was fantastic! Rebecca and boss man were awesome! I really enjoyed talking with them and they made us feel like we were locals that visit all the time!
