We enjoy dining here. The atmosphere is pleasant and the huge covered outdoor area has heaters. The staff & managers all work as a team and are friendly, personable & attentive. Lauren was our server on our recent visit and she gets an A+ as we waited for nothing.. They offer an amazing beer selection and a decent wine menu with heavy pours & decent prices. Everything we've tried on the menu was tasty. Steaks were always cooked perfectly. Generous with portions on sides. They offer a German sausage sampler dish with authentic senf dipping sauce, krauts & german potatoes, my sons personal favorite. If there was one thing I would recommend ordering is the Cowboy Caviar. An appetizer nacho dish that's not spicy and not smothered in beans, lettuce or tomatoes (like most places). It's a cream cheese blend with ground sausage, covered in cheddar cheese and baked golden brown. The chips were crispy and fresh. Theres not much I would change, but if asked what could make a great restraunt greater, I would recommend bread with entrees, a black & blue burger added to the menu, the option of jalapenos added to the cowboy caviar and the omission of tomatoes on the filet formaggio (tomatoes are not listed in the description and they overpower the taste of the steak, blue cheese, mushrooms & bacon) We always look forward to...
Read moreWe picked this place to have dinner since we were in the area purchasing a car. I saw on other reviews that it takes a while to get your food and that service can be slow. That was not our experience. Our server was very attentive and came to greet us within a few minutes of us being seated. She was friendly and made suggestions based on my questions.
I had the pot roast and my kids had a cheeseburger and grilled cheese. The pot roast is tasty! The gravy is made with one of their beers. The meat was very tender and well seasoned. The texture of the gravy was a little thicker than I’m used to, but with the taste it was still good! The kids cleaned their plate, so I’m going to say they enjoyed their sandwiches. I also had the Razzwheat beer which was light & refreshing with a slight hint of sweetness. It’s smooth and not too sweet at all. We shared the lava cake for dessert, which was good also, especially the ice cream.
In terms of atmosphere, the place was packed, so I was surprised to get seated and get food so quickly. It was a bit loud, which was okay for us because I was with two energetic kids. It was very laid-back and casual with different sports playing on the TVs.
Overall, we enjoyed our experience and when in the area I will try it again to see what other dishes I...
Read moreNice restaurant. Not my first time eating here, but quite possibly my last. Visited Saturday Sept 20th at 415pm. Two teenagers at the front counter "hosting" but playing with each other more than anything. The female host couldn't even stand up. She spent most of her time setting on the counter with her feet on the counter where, I can only assume in a restaurant, food is placed ready for take out. Both playing on their phones more than engaging their jobs. Once seated the waitress stopped by, got a drink order and we finally got out drinks about ten minutes later. No, the restaurant was not busy. I can only call the service Hit and Run. Never got a chance to order an appetizer even though we were ready. She literally sat our drinks on the table in a dead run and said I will be right back. Another 15 minutes later she came back. I was already telling my wife I was ready to leave. We go ahead and order the food. Get the food delivered by another person and never seen our waitress again until it was time to pay the bill. We finished our meals with empty glasses from our one drink. Recieved 35 minutes earlier. Even closing our bill was hit and run. Not interested in the favorable food mixed with the horrible service. Will go somewhere...
