Walked to this place having never been to Greenwood before. I am a truck driver from Texas and was parked at a truck stop half a mile away. I saw this place and immediately thought that this was the type of place I'd like to try. So thankful I did. When I walked in I felt as if I was back in Houston. The staff is very friendly and courteous the service is excellent from the time you walk in (you can seat yourself). Upon entering, to the left they have an old fashioned wood burning pizza oven where the pies are made from scratch by a pizzariol. Further down a full service bar all while maintaining a family friendly environment. As there was a few families returning from a Little League game. They were called the Astros as luck would have it. My waitress was super. She helped me with all of my dining needs promptly with a smile. My menu choice was the "Ultimate" BBQ Burger, and boy did it deliver to its billing. So delicious it melted in my mouth. I especially enjoyed their seasoning of the french fries more of a grated parmesan and herb. Thank you for that touch. Too many places over salt them. If it were able to receive 10 stars it would have definitely received them from this satisfied Texan. I might not ever be able to get back here, but any one ever coming to this area should definitely...
Read moreThis place was great and the service was wonderful. The owner Craig came and greeted all of the tables. He also told us we should have tried his tenderloin..and then he brought us one out to try on the house. I'm so glad he did because this will be one of the main reasons we return! The tenderloin was one of the best in the city. It was juicy and so crunchy at the same time and was seasoned through. I ordered the potato soup and the grilled Turkey and swiss with bacon on ciabatta. The soup was pretty average but still good , premade possibly. My bf ordered a cheeseburger which looked pretty basic but it was flavorful and pretty good. The fries were a little different in a way I can only explain by saying they would hold up really well with the chilli and cheese which we didnt order but will next time. His sister ordered the pizza, because someone had to. They have an impressive pizza oven as soon as you walk in. The pizza was really flavorful she got the pepporoni and garlic. I suggest having it cooked just a little longer or ask for Craig to make your pizza if you like a crispier bottom. We also ordered the fried cheese stuffed ravioli and they were really tasty. We will def be returning for a tenderloin and to try some of the other interesting things on the menu. The jalapeno popper...
Read moreWe read the reviews passing through easy access to 65 North & South. We went Saturday between the hours of 5 and 7. It's a clean place with self seating. The men's bathroom was poorly designed because if your standing at the urinal no one can enter or exit the stall although clean should be a one person stall and fairly awkward for multiple people. Wife and son ordered the wood fire pizza don't expect anything like California Pizza kitchen because it's not. They did a half and half pepperoni and the other side mushrooms. Wife was fairly disappointed because they did not use fresh mushrooms canned mushrooms. I ordered the Jamaican Pork sandwich I was looking forward to a tasty sandwich but it really didn't work. The pork itself was just plain pulled pork on some coleslaw and BBQ sauce on top it was on a toasted bun but cold. My wife ordered me sweet tea it was very cloudy and did not taste fresh we sent back. Luckily they do have my favorite beer here so I ordered that. All in all its a decent neighborhood grille but by no means is anywhere past three stars. Food 2 stars, Service 3 stars, cleanliness 3 stars. Their may be better choices on the menu they are better at but what we had was edible but nothing to make us want to come back to. I don't recommend the pizza or the Jamaican...
