I genuinely feel bad for whoever recently shelled out a ton of cash to renovate the restaurant. This was my first time in the store, at 9:30 am. I was the only customer, and not a single car went through the drive through.
When I entered, no one was up front. After about 30 seconds one of the three employees in the place wandered through and greeted me, then went to the back. I stood there for another minute or so.
Another employee finally emerges from the back and starts messing with the register. I step up to order and she mutters that "he'll get you when he comes back up." So I wait another couple of minutes while she fiddles with the register. She finally huffs and says she can take my order.
I get my drink cup and head over to the soda machine. There's water everywhere and only 3 large lids in the lid holder. I grab one, head over to the sauces, no mild sauce. No forks. I sit down at a booth after skipping a dirty one, and notice that there's dirt all over the floor, a receipt in one of the seats, a cabinet TAPED SHUT (in a newly-remodeled store!), and everything just feels kind of grimy.
I get my food and sit down, realize I could use that fork for my mexican pizza. I head back up to the counter. My cashier spits out "what do you need?" I mean, she seems genuinely put out. I ask for a fork and she and the first guy I saw start yelling back and forth about forks. He comes up and says, "I think we're out. Do you wanna put it in a box?" I think, no, I want to put it in my mouth, but I'm polite, sit down, eat my food, and then leave.
Pros: -Food came out quick -Food tasted great -Didn't screw up the order
Cons: -Indifferent/rude employees -No forks or mild sauce? Really? -Dirty and understocked
Honest to God, if I owned that place, I'd sell it. If you can't get people that can at least pretend to be friendly, or at the very least clean the (NEWLY REMODELED) store to a decent level when NO ONE ELSE IS ANYWHERE IN THE VICINITY, then just close that puppy down and take your losses. Ouch.
I've been in some scuzzy restaurants, but this is the first time I've been made to feel that flatly unwelcome in a place where I'm spending my...
Read morePlease be aware that this Taco Bell does not adhere to the Taco Bell commercials, that are sent to the inbox or on television. This particular Taco Bell adds an extra 99 cents on to every combo that is advertised by the Taco Bell corporation. I call this the "Greenwood tax." If you want Taco Bell that is done incredibly well AND they adhere to all of the commercial prices as well as the mailings sent out, go to the Taco Bell in Abbeville. See picture below for proof.
Update on review 5/22/2018 Lunch 1:09pm. 5 for $5 combo. Not a bad value. They seem to be doing better. Failure to note the deal on their top screens above the registers but the deal was on the sign outside. Somewhat surly order taker, but the food seemed hot and fresh. Updating the review to a 2*.
Update on another visit 3\2\2018: Ordered a Burrito supreme combo and I can only describe the burrito as "enemic," but the soft taco was acceptable. 7.29 total. "Low" cost...
Read moreI recently had an issue with an order. I wrote customer service about it and within 20 minutes of doing so I was contacted by the manager of the restaurant, Pam who handled the complaint with such professionalism that I completely forgot how upset I was to begin with. All managers should strive to be as positive and nice as Pam was. She handled my issue and has taken care of it. I eat here once or twice a week and this was the first time I’ve ever had an issue. My husband and I love to go here after he gets off work for dinner. We normally get the same thing every single time so I do think the problem came from the supplier, not the restaurant with the shells. Needless to say we will continue to eat here once or twice a week as we always do! Thanks again Pam for providing a wonderful experience with my situation and handling it the way that...
