Workman's Soul & Que — Restaurant in Greenwood

First let me say the food I had was very good. The chicken was moist and very flavorful, the sweet potatoes patties were creamy and delicious and even the plain white rice was cooked perfectly. They were apparently busier on this Sunday than expected. We waited 45 minutes to get in. My husband didn't get anything because he was hoping for barbeque (pork) and they didn't have it. He unfortunately didn't like any of the items they did have. We never had a waitress stop by the table. The people next to us were kind enough to share an extra set of silverware so I was able to eat. No drinks though. The staff at the register when I went to pay and leave were VERY apologetic and offered us drinks to go and a dessert to go. I absolutely cannot say enough about this place! From time you walk in you can smell that good southern home cooking meal. The buffet was hot and fresh. All the staff was amazing. The service was out of this world so many restaurants could learn just by eating here how to treat your customers! I spoke with a lady. I believe she might’ve been the manager. Her name was Amanda. One of the servers at the hot bar made it difficult to order, she has an attitude to match. A gentleman prior to placing my order was able to get a piece of meat, pigfeet I believe, and he was able to get his piece of meat in a smaller container. However, when I asked for the pigfoot on the side, she said that they did not have a smaller container.

Bottomline, I was very frustrated with the service and with the server's lack of good customer service. Although I really did not want to get anything after the negative encounter, I was advised, from the relative with me, to get something anyway, so I did.
