Sunday 10/2/22 around 11:45am, the tall black older woman server freaked out when our family came in and sat at a booth that wasn’t wiped clean yet. All the other booths were taken or dirty and we wanted to make sure we got this booth since it was the only unoccupied one big enough for our group and didn’t want other customers to take it.
She was rude and angrily raised her voice “IF YOU SIT THERE, THEY GONNA THINK YOU ALREADY ATE!” My husband politely tried to explain why we sat there but she stormed off. Shot us a glare or two while we waited…
But she obviously knew we didn’t eat yet and she told her coworkers and they all decided to ignore us and serve people that came in after us I guess out of spite because we didn’t obey her command.
She was extremely unprofessional, has an attitude problem, and needs to learn proper customer service or lose her job.
What’s interesting is a week prior, we came in to that same Waffle House and sat at a dirty table (since none were cleaned), and a nice server came and wiped it off for us and pleasantly took our orders and of course received a great tip.
So after today’s unpleasant experience with Ms. Miserable Angry Woman, we left and went to Cracker Barrel instead and had great service, of course.

Read moreSlow and bad customer service. This is my second time receiving bad service. I usually call in my order. First time I showed up and stood to the check our counter for 5 minutes. Everyone was going in different directions. No one stopped and checked me out. I got the attention of one staff member. She called another employees name and she just looked at me. Finally check out and my food was wrong. The second encounter was just as bad. I walk in and a staff member asked the young man in front of me was his order to go or called in? He places his order and sits down. I am standing at the cashier for 5 minutes still no greeting or anything. I walk around the table where an employee is standing with a bag of food. A server sitting down asked me if I have a to go order. So she hands me my food and ticket. I am still standing at the cashier and ready to checkout. The server at the cashier is calling people up as if I am not standing there. She calls the last guy up and just walks away. I started yelling "can someone please check me out". At this time I am in the restaurant for 15 minutes. The server who I made the order with gets up and checks me out. Read moreI stopped in about 1:00am on July 5th on my way home from work. The server (green hair) took my order. First issue was, she sat my drink literally on the corner of the table diagonally from where I was sitting so I actually had to get up to reach it. Second issue was, I am always specific when ordering eggs and bacon. 99% of cooks can't get an over medium egg correct and don't get the white done and it makes me sick so I always asked for OM and please make sure the white is done. This girl treated me as if I was stupid and responded "that's what over medium is." I also asked for crispy bacon, again because the fat causes me to gag. She relayed neither request to the cook. Fortunately the cook that night was one of the 1% who know how to cook an egg. I was the ONLY customer in there and yet the server never once even checked on me other than to bring my check. The cook actually noticed and came and checked on me and fixed my cold bacon correctly. I always tip well and actually started not to even leave one but did leave one (not near what she'd have gotten had she done her job but next time, if she gives me the same service, I'll give her 15% of what I actually eat would cost and I'm guessing she won't be pleased based off the cost of hash...
