It's a burger joint... what's not to love about a burger joint?
Weellllll... the service is atrocious. The interactions are terse and uncomfortable. I can totally forgive this if it's done in a kitschy charming way.. but here it just feels like a total disregard.. maybe even a dislike for the customers that help keep this place (barely) afloat. After getting our order in, I asked where the restroom was for the 5 year old accompanying me on this little burgventure. A pole with a key attached to it was pointed to and the words "out back" were muttered. We passed the flattened rat (no joke) in the driveway as we made our way back around to the back. The disarray of the building and the space that contained the building made obvious that times weren't great for this probably once bustling burger joint. When we returned to our seats, the food was brought out one item at a time... .no explanation or "yours will be right up" was muttered.
I give it three stars because it's a fine burger. Our burgers were tasty, albeit nothing that set it apart from other good burgers. The fries were good. I think they are hand cut fries... they were seasoned well and cooked perfectly. The shakes that we had were so-so. If it was on food alone I would have given 4 stars.
I really wanted this place to be better. I wanted them to love their craft. But more than anything, like any service that I pay for, I want to feel like they appreciate that I could have chosen any number of places to eat but instead I chose their place. I know that one person or one family doesn't matter... but in aggregate, we do. If they would treat everybody like they were the most important customers, then their burgers would probably taste a lot better than "fine". If they treated everybody with some level of joy... not even just respect, I am confident that they would have the money for sorely needed capital improvements. If they were busy, they could work to perfect what they are trying to be... a good old fashioned burger joint. People would happily come to such a place to stand in line for one of their burgers... but they have to have something that the other guys don't.. and they can't have such a visible deficit like they do with...

The food itself exceeded my expectations. The half-pound burger was wide and not overly tall, which is how substantial burgers should be. The toppings and sauces were delicious, complementing the patty perfectly. A generous serving of fresh lettuce and high-quality cheddar cheese accompanied the burger, along with onions that added a delightful kick to the overall burger experience.
I also ordered a small hot dog with all the fixings, and they didn't skimp on the onions, which enhanced the flavor. The curly fries were impeccably crispy and bursting...
Read moreJust Wow! No welcome. No customer service. Corner person was annoyed and rude! Between watching tv on a laptop and playing on his phone I was clearly an interruption to his work shift....
I asked about kids menus and he waves his hand to the wall...ZERO EXPLANATION!
The restaurant is gross...dirty...and smelled of Old burnt oil and grease.
Despite all of this...I continued to place an order after hearing the burgers were great!....mmmmm....well that is a whole other review in itself. Maybe is someone’s fav. But was not mine.
I will say this....had the counter person showed ANY INTEREST IN HIS CUSTOMERS I would say that for the price it was decent....however due to his lack of customer service or human respect I will not ever return.
I feel terrible For the owner who is paying a guy who does not...
