Hungry Howie's Pizza — Restaurant in Grosse Pointe Park

My order was # 03601. I placed my order online and arrive to pick up it up just before 9:50pm. There were two employees in the pizzeria, one male and one female. The male employee was prepping pizzas while the female employee was in the front of the store sweeping. Upon finishing sweeping floor, the lady came to the counter and asked if I had placed an order. once she received my information, she walked to the oven and retrieved my pizza from the oven without washing her hands or wearing gloves. While she was cutting my pizza, kindly let her know that I did not want that pizza because due to her (Daniel M. #3601) not washing her hands. I explain to her that since she just finished sweeping that her hands are dirty from the broom, and that she should not handle customer’s food without washing. She got upset and said a few words but went and asked her colleague to make another pizza. Upon returning to the front counter, and seeing a phone in my hand she became hostile and said that she would call the police on me. I informed her that I had not taken a picture but was now going to do so because of how she was treating me. I also asked for a refund which she reluctantly did. I am a long time customer, and I usually order pizzas from here during family gatherings, parties or if I’m just lazy and don’t want to cook. I submitted a complaint to corporate but never heard back from them. I still don’t understand why wouldn’t she simply wash her hands before touching my food, and why threaten to call the police when a customer addressed the issue. I have an idea why she wanted to call the police but I won’t get into that. I will say that the woman in the picture was probably hoping that I’d get arrested for making her feel uncomfortable about her...

We order from this location quite often, the service is usually great. Today I placed our order for dinner my husband picked up our order he did not open the pizza boxes. I opened the pizza boxes and our pizzas were loaded with bacon, we do not eat pork!!!!! I called spoke to the manager who took my order and explained that I did not order Bacon on my pizza, she asked if I wanted her to remake the pizza? I told her hold on to let me ask my husband if he want will go back up to the restaurant. The manager cut me off asking again -do you want me remake the pizza? I asked her if she will deliver it she stated yes. I told her I am not a containing customer and don't want anyone to drop my food on the floor. The manager never assured me that would never happen, never did I receive an apology. Her bad day was taken out on me, with that said my business is not appreciated or wanted I see. You can expect me to never spend my money at Hungry Howies. Companies feel they can treat certain people how they want to, until this reaches the ears of my neighbors and slows...

I eat pizza every week in my household normally when I get pieces from this location I have no complaints today on the Fourth of July 2022 I purchase a barbecue chicken pizza with Cajun crust small and when I say I was not pleased the Asian worker there is very rude and seems to not know anything about Hungry Howies there were two other men there that I can see that was not preparing food one was on the phone the other one was going in a freezer refrigerator to cool off I called to place my order and I was hung up on!
