Mama Rosa's Pizzeria — Restaurant in Grosse Pointe Park

These people don't know what they are doing. My husband called and ordered 2 large pizzas. He asked for a buffalo chicken pizza which they do not have so she offered BBQ chicken so he said yes that would be fine. When the order arrived we got a large veggie as ordered and a BBQ chicken dinner. We were so confused so we called. I got the girl who takes orders when I told her we got the wrong order she asked me to hold. Another lady came on the phone and asked the number the order was taken from. I gave her my husbands phone number. She must have looked up the order because she said we ordered a BBQ chicken dinner and a large veggie and I told her that we had ordered 2 large pizzas. She proceeded to tell me that my husband was at fault here and that he ordered the dinner and her girls always repeat back the order to make sure it's right. I told her if she didn't take the order she couldn't be sure and that either way we got the wrong thing and I know he said pizza. She kept saying we ordered wrong. Finally she says let me look to see what the difference in price is for the BBQ chicken dinner to the BBQ chicken pizza and told me it was 3.50 and asked if I wanted them to have them make he pizza and send it out and take the chicken back. So I asked if I needed to pay the difference and she told me yes. I told her that was ridiculous since we didn't order incorrectly and wanted it a while ago now. And she said well if we did that we would be out out of business after she had just told me that her girls make so many mistakes that they have to repeat orders. I told her if you guys can't get orders right that will make you go out of business and told her I will never get food from them again, bye. She laughed and said bye... NEVER ORDER FOOD FROM THEM. THEY HAVE NO CUSTOMER SERVICE AND THE FOOD IS INLY DECENT......

First of all I know a lot about pizza. I see a lot of other reviewers on here and I can tell they have not eaten as many pizzas as I have. I order carry out from Mama Rosas every week. You might be thinking “hey man, you are eating too many pizzas.” Maybe I am, maybe I’m not. My doctor says my BMI is excellent. Point is, if anyone knows about Pizza it’s me, and Mama Rosas is good. Much better than chain pizzerias. The people that work there are also nice and will remember your name if you go there every week like I do. I don’t really care that they don’t do dine in. They haven’t done it for like 3 years. I’m trying to eat pizzas at home anyways. Technically you can cheat the system and buy a pizza there and it in the parking lot. One thing I will note is that occasionally the pizza has a little more flop to it than I’d like, but it’s never too floppy. Ideally when you hold the pizza by the crust the slide will hold its self up when folded. Not always the case. The crust is pretty thin, but makes for a solid base. Cheese and sauce and toppings are good. No funky taste to anything. They take Apple Pay which you may not...

They have the Monday special 2 toppings large $9.99 Ask for extra cheese the price jump up to $5 more. I asked her how much is extra cheese, She said $3. But She can't figure out why the price was higher. I said can you get a manager to fix it, She was like no no it's something else. I said okay fix it so the price be right She said she can't fix it that's the price now. She said they knock off $4 off the pizza. The original price is $20 - $4. I'm like that's still not $9.99 You giving me a different deal now That don't make no sense. I got so frustrated because she was scared to get the manager, I don't know why..

I told her I'm about to head to Markie's pizza, they use the same ingredients. Pizza taste just like yours. Go to Markie's pizza they are in Warren on 9 Mile. When you ask for extra cheese they're not going to charge you $5 more same...
