If I could give zero stars for this bakery I would, based on my experience / interaction today with the "gentleman" behind the counter. I went there looking for some sweet treats for an upcoming party. Myself and some of the guests are plant-based / vegan so I asked him if they carried any vegan selections and he said no. I started to peruse the tasty looking items and he asked me if I wanted to know why he didn't carry any vegan items. Before I could answer, he started to explain that being a vegan is very unhealthy and could kill you. I replied that we will have to agree to disagree on that and instead of taking my cue that I was not interested in any further discussion on that matter, he went into a long tirade on his opinions on this subject in a very insulting and harsh manner. When I tried to speak my thoughts / opinions, he would speak over me and used a belittling tone that was quite shocking to me, as I came in to buy baked goods, not discuss his (uneducated) opinion on a matter that I happen to be quite versed and educated on. It appeared he wasn't interested in my business at all based on his words and actions. Clearly, he is not very good at customer service and pushing his opinions is more important than making a sale, so I left without purchasing anything, feeling as if my intelligence had been insulted. What a terrible experience at a bakery where usually I would walk out happy. I would not recommend this place to anyone, no matter how delicious the baked goods may be. Nobody deserves to be talked down to in...
Read moreRecently my Father-in law purchased a sour cream (cinnamon) coffee cake, upon taking it home and trying it for dessert, he realized it was extremely dry. He called the store, and received a harsh welcoming. I might add he was chastised over the phone, and told "that is the way it is suppose to be"..."what would you like me to do", said one of the owners, my Father-in-law stated it would be nice to get my money back! The owner when my Father-in-law went back demonstrated by putting his hand in the coffee cake, taking a major piece, sticking in his mouth, and then stating..."this is how it is suppose to taste"! I do know that in my over 40 years in sales...the customer is always right! Obviously, the owner thinks he's right! The owner, not only admonished my Father-in-law, he told him.."next time go buy it from Joseph's!" Well guess what that particular day they were closed (Joseph's), and my Father-in-law has a sweet tooth, went to Delight to get chastized and berated by the owner, unacceptable, rude behavior. I have lived in the GP area for over 25 years...you will never see me or my family, and my hope is many others will never give you business for your rude behavior and I might add, bad product. I have to give them 1 star, otherwise, I couldn't post my review...does not deserve a...
Read moreI waited a long time for this review I really didn't know how to handle the experience I've supported this place since they opened and loved the food, I walked in last summer to the owner's beating the hell out each other and food thrown everywhere I spent over 20 minutes trying to talk them down and NOT get law enforcement involved I now know way too much about their lives and my reward was to get banned on my next visit it's all good they have no idea of who my wife and kids are so I still enjoy the food I don't care how crazy they are the guy makes one hell of a scone as far as the "man behind the counter" he is actually a very pleasant man the other dude should probably cut out the roids would definitely help with his...
