Once Upon A TacoOnce Upon A Taco
You are brew-ti-ful ☕️❤️ Highlights: • Tostadas abiertas • Coffee • Desserts Review: I wanted to see what the brunch scene was like in Puerto Rico and hit the right marks. The Kheeé toast was delicious with crispy bacon, freshness from the pesto, acidity from the guacamole, slight sweetness from the balsamic vinegar, nuttiness from the mozzarella and all layered on top of a toasted sourdough slice. The eggs benedict however, left a little to be desired the hollandaise sauce wasn’t hitting right the eggs were just eggs and the potatoes needed some love. The highlight of the day were the coffees, rich, bold with the right amount of sweetness and topped with a variety things that complimented the coffee so well. Can’t wait to go back to try their milkshakes and other menu items. Rating: 8/10 La Kheeé Toast- Tostada de sourdough, pesto, guacamole, queso mozarella, bacon, reducción de vinagre balsámico. Huevos Benedictos- Huevos poché, english muffins, canadian bacon, salsa holandesa, papas salteadas. Almond Amaretto Cappuccino- Espresso shots, almond syrup, whipped cream and almonds. La Nutelada- Espresso shot(s), whipped cream, covered with nutella and peanuts.

Came in for brunch on a Monday. Coffee was good and food was not bad, however, it was not worth the time and price. It took about 2 hours to get three toasts. We ordered the caprese toast, salmon toast and aguacado toast. Not very difficult dishes to make, but it took about 2 hours to get them. Coffee came fast but we also ordered tea and orange juice. Tea came out about an hour later without honey or milk and the juice never made it to the table. I was deeply disappointed with this experience. The place is cute and cozy. The girls are nice and friendly but they don't know how to manage the amount of work or common problems that may occur in a food establishment. For example, orders take too long, items are forgotten and tables are not monitored to see if items arrived or how is everything going so far. The food was good but it was very simple items. It is not hard to make a good toast with avocado but for $8 the fact that it took that long is unacceptable for the price and type of dish.

Great food, great service, cute and colorful interior. You have to try the vegan eggs. They are made with "just egg" and it looks and tastes exactly like real eggs. Drinks are also very yummy. In the picture are the vegan croque madame and monte Cristo. The owner is lovely. The few negative reviews are about the wait time. I thought they were actually very good about cleaning and turning around tables quickly. Yes, there is a bit of a wait because it is usually quite busy, but it's busy because people love it!
