Umai — Restaurant in Guaynabo

This place is the worse Asian place I have been- they don’t have half the things on the menu when you get here, and the server does not mention it until you try to order,- I literally tried to order 3items they did not have- then I ordered a stir fry and they do Not come w rice or noodles!!!??!!🤯🤯🤯why are you charging $18 for 1/2 the food order!!??? The menu it’s a mess- confusing, the food is not like other restaurants and they should definitely explain that, if the stir fry is coming out without a starch- say so on the menu, if you are out of food state that as well when the guest sits down, etc.

I work in the industry and wanted to go out for an amazing meal and wow thanks for ruining the night and my appetite. Fix your menu so people don’t have to ask a million questions 🙄🤯🤯

and there is No bathroom ??!!! to wash your hands or anything you have to walk around the block to use the bathrooms in the shopping center🤯🤯why are you charging like a full restaurant when you are NOT!!!!!????? I DO NOT...

Marcos was excellent, gave us the history of the restaurant and made us feel very welcome. We showed up late last night on a busy Friday night but he made accommodations for our group of 5. We had wine, tuna poke bowls- bc they ran out of salmon… which is a good thing… that means they are buying appropriately.

Also had short rib sticky buns that were perfectly cooked and seasoned, and a bunch of rolls … the big winner was the isla bonita roll that I was not expecting to be that delicious. Oh my! Umai! Nice relaxing atmosphere for the professional. Great food and great customer service. We normally sit outside when we bring our puppy with us. If you have taste buds you like to excite, I got the Short Ribs Steamed Buns...they were super small, like something you order from the kids menu and they set you back $15, but we'll worth it!
