Pie Lab — Local services in San Juan

I was really excited to check this place out! Getting in took a bit of effort—a customer actually had to open the door for me—but once inside, the selection of pies was both decent and decadent. I decided to stick with a classic and ordered a slice of apple pie. I was tempted to try the blueberry crumble as well, but that felt like too much pie for one day.

The ordering process wasn’t as smooth as I’d hoped. It took a while for someone to attend to us, and unfortunately, there was a loud kid in the background. While that didn’t affect my overall rating (as the business can’t control that), it did make the experience a bit less enjoyable. I also noticed there was a lack of cold beverages—only water was available.

Despite these hiccups, I ordered takeout, and the pie did not disappoint. While it wasn’t the absolute best I’ve ever had, it was definitely the best I’ve tried in Puerto Rico. I prefer a solid crust with a creamy, almost gooey syrup with my apples, and this pie delivered. Overall, they have a nice selection of pies, and I’ll definitely be coming...

Very lackluster. There was only pecan pie available when I visited, the crust was so “crisp” that it broke the plastic fork when attempting to grab a bite to eat. The presentation was lacking in appeal. The place looks like it’s not been finished with very sparse decoration that doesn’t seem interesting in its minimalism. Very bad decision for a thanksgiving pie. Paid the full amount and couldn’t pick up the pie that day got late of work, called and send text and no response. Then, they are letting me know that I’m not having the money or pie back, for not picking it up the day of the order. After a massive dispute she told okay… you can pick it up. Waited a week and not worth $45 . Horrible customer...
